Hello, related to this I have made a homebrew feat that should allow me to pick any cantrip to represent that function of the Artificer's All Purpose Tool item, I have selected every class' cantrips to be available, but I cannot select Sapping Sting
It doesn't look like Sapping Sting is on the Wizard list, it's specifically given to the Chronurgy & Graviturgy schools.
correct. The spells from EGtW are the only ones in 5e that do not appear on any base class list, only those two subclasses.
Not quite, there's one other spell. Can you guess what it is?
It's Encode Thoughts from Guildmaster's Guide to Ravnica. It appears on no spell list, not even a subclass. It's only available from the Dimir background.
DDB has to put it on the Wizard spell list because all spells need a list to function in the system, and DDB can't 'make up' a spell list for that one spell
I do freely admit that I added the pink underline to draw one’s eye to the relevant statement. However, I swear i did not add/edit/remove anything besides that pink underlining. Just in case you wish to see the original, un-highlighted post in all of its natural splendor, here is the direct link for you as well:
I already thanked Cyb3r for the workaround. It’s a huge help. My problem is solved. Thanks again, Cyb3r! I subscribed to your channel for future content.
my lv 1 aberrant mind spells have not pulled into my character sheet? any advice?
None of those 3 spells (Arms of Hadar, Dissonant Whispers, Mind Sliver) are freely available - the first two require purchasing (or purchasing them from) the Player's Handbook, while Mind Sliver is from Tasha's. If you bought the Aberrant Mind Sorcerer subclass individually from Tasha's but not the spells, then that's the problem.

This may be a dumb question but I’m trying to fix it the way you said using the home brew method by I cannot seem to make a copy of the aberrant mind class the only one that shows up using the home brew creator is the draconic bloodline

You have to purchase access to the other subclasses, Draconic bloodline is the only free subclass. You can purchase the single subclass for $2 (USD) if you want instead of purchasing the whole of Tasha’s Cauldron if you don’t want to spend that much.

It’s been over a year since TCoE came out. Give me a break. 🙄
I mean, I don't need to give you crap. Cybermind put up an excellent tutorial for you to solve your own problem. The fact that you're upset DDB won't let you do it Officially sucks, but frankly? I can think of a few things and a few people who might...just might...juuuust might, y'see...maybe merit a wee little tiny bit of priority over something with its own workaround video tutorial by a distinguished forum name?
Please do not contact or message me.

And, as usual, I do most certainly hope this has helped. 😇

For some reason they don't show up under your actions, but they do show up under your spells and you can cast them from there.
Want to start playing but don't have anyone to play with? You can try these options: [link].
