I'm learning how to use DDB for the first time running my game, and I noticed when I copied my character sheet into the system, the "cast" button only appears on spells without the ritual tag. Does anyone know how I cast these without using the ritual casting rules?
The only way to cast spells that have the ritual tag is to prepare them (if you're a wizard, in your spell book).
A ritual spell can be cast as a ritual (takes ten minutes longer, doesn't expend a spell slot) or as normal (takes the normal casting time, does expend a spell slot). caseydilla19 means the latter, and the DDB character sheet doesn't seem to have a button for this - only for the former option.
I'll see if I can find something else, but personally I just check off a spell slot of the appropriate level manually and leave it at that.
edit: in fact, on my charsheet I do get a "cast" button for ritual spells
You can ritually cast the Ritual spells even if they are not prepared, but to cast them using a spell slot you have to prepare them. The rituals you are seeing “as ritual” for are the spells you have not prepared but can still cast as rituals anyway simply because they are in your spell book.

Thank you!
Are you a wizard? Your character I mean?

Want to start playing but don't have anyone to play with? You can try these options: [link].
