Is there a way to export a purchased adventure from Beyond over to Roll20?
No. Character exporting is tenuous at best and a violation of the ToS at worst. There is no API for exporting sourcebooks or adventures. You would have to purchase that adventure on the different platform.
Not working for me either. I keep getting this error:
Your scripts are currently disabled due to an error that was detected. Please make appropriate changes to your script's code and click the "Save Script" button. We will then attempt to start running the scripts again. More info... If this script was installed from the Mod Library, you might find help in the Community API Forum.
For reference, the error message generated was: SyntaxError: Unexpected end of JSON input
Also, !beyond --config is not displaying the config menu in chat.
Just wanted to clear something up here as a longtime user of Beyond20 with some vision behind the scenes. The creator of Beyond20 has been on contact with Dndbeyond staff for a long while. They are well aware of the extension and have given him their blessing. He even gets advanced notice of changes coming down so he can update the script. The extension takes nothing away from dndbeyond, rather it drives traffic there. I've brought dozens of players to dndbeyond from using the script. To use your sheet on Roll20 with it, you HAVE to be on dndbeyond. While the TOS may say this is a potential violation, they can choose whether or not to take action. They are clearly choosing not to, because it doesn't make sense. So, fear not using the importer or Beyond20.
I have players who only use Rxxx20...but I prefer to use DnDBeyond to give them things. So using the character importer is essential...at least it was until I decided to work toward leaving DnD due to the lack of A La Carte now.

I don't know what Rxxx20 is. Did you mean Roll20?
I also don't know why the importer is essential. You can manage your character on D&D Beyond and have it roll into Roll20 using the Beyond20 extension. For character management uses the extension was superior to importing. I mean to each their own, just saying it's "essential" is weird to me, is all as I just fail to see how. If you said "preferred" then I'd understand, but "essential" (meaning it is a "must") is confusing, as technically it's the inferior option for character management purposes.

with what happening we need a way to export all the books we paid for to Roll20. i cant afford to buy everything again on Roll20 but they are the only ones that leaving option to use 2014 stuff.
Thank you for the good, clear response, Mairondil.
This is really disappointing (mostly on the this end, not Roll20's), because it highlights the weird state of DRM right now. Buy a book and you can put a handout on the table. But when you "buy" a book online, you're "buying" (renting, really) the ability to view it in their site.
Imagine if a store had a TTRPG night, but if you were going to run a game you had to buy all the sourcebooks and/or modules from that store. "No outside game materials." And then when the night's over, you put the materials back on their shelves, so that you can only use them there. That's the model that we're working with right now.
I'm not ranting at you, Mairondil. You've saved me a bunch of time trying to figure out porting my stuff, because I can't afford to re-buy everything for my group. I'm just looking forward to the day when we have, as a society, figured out making this less hostile to the players/customers/buyers/makers - and not just in TTRPGs.
When running a game I do it on that website you mentioned. (I am apparently not allowed to mention it by name)
As a player, I use DnDBeyond primarily (at least for now), but as a DM? I need the connection. And Beyond20 doesn't provide enough of one.
You made this as a reply to me but I am confused - why are you saying you are not allowed to mention Roll20 by name? Everyone else can. Roll20 is an official licensor of WotC publications - a partner. It is not banned.
Also, what can you achieve via importing that you cannot through Beyond20? Having used it as a player and as a DM it did everything. It could display everything from character sheets, monster blocks, item cards, everything. Lately Beyond20 has been buggier more and more as D&D Beyond gets more complicated, but those are usually minor. I just don't see what importing does that beyond20 doesn't.

I hate people that do this. Just answer the question or don't. This response has nothing to do with what OP asked, and nobody has to justify why they want to know to you.
And your response to me also has nothing to do with the OP's request, adds nothing at all to the thread, and is nothing but hypocrisy. Maybe practice what you preach?
As for the OP's request, I actually did answer them with the info they requested, in Post 4.

Don't trust this thing for anything it says, it's response in "Post 4" was over three years ago, and has just born false fruit. I found this thread with a similar issue, and the first response was this entitled little *****. If things worked the way they said, why wasn't everyone saying "Hey, thanks, that worked for me!" Because it doesn't work, and now they cry hypocrisy, the last ditch effort of a charlatan, on a TEST account because they were "glitched"...more like banned.
However you make it work, it is worth the effort to get at least the phb, Tasha's, Mordenkainen's, and whatever 2014 book has your fave bits. If you're a DM, pick your fave adventure, if you're a player pick your fave spells. It's cheaper to get them over time. Just keep in mind jokers like the one up there, that don't offer help at all, they just have a superiority complex and no shame. Thank you for your time, your glasses, and your homebrew motorcycle ;3
It's really gross to call someone "it", just use "they" like a normal person. Also they're not banned, their original account is glitched, so you're wrong on that account (evading a ban is also bannable and they've literally used the same handle and pfp for their new account and interacted directly with mods). So rather than replying to an almost year inactive thread to be garbage to someone, try doing literally anything else.

I can't speak to that as I moved on from Beyond20 and to the DDBI (DnDBeyond Importer) which allows you to port characters, monsters, and even entire adventures from DnDBeyond to FoundryVTT.

Isnt it easy to just re make the character in Roll20 ie. Charactermancer?
Seems like it would be easy to make a character and level it up in Roll20 than fiddling with JSON files and API
