So, I usually pick our campaigns based on my players. Our first was Curse of Strahd because one of my player is really into gothic and horror, and loves vampires. Our current campaign is Dragon Heist, because one of my players loves heists and mysteries. We are about half way through Dragon Heist and I want to start reading our next campaign, but I can´t find the right one for my final player. He is a lawyer, he is an eternal support (in every game), he is a very moral and ¨by the book¨ person, and he likes good vs. evil classic tales.
Do you think you can recommend us something? I was thinking Dungeon of the Mad Mage to continue Dragon Heist, but that would defeat the purpose. I was thinking Avernus but I really don´t know.
As you have run a couple of pre-written campaigns, maybe try to make your own home-brew campaign? For me that's the most fun, and then you can tailor it to your specific needs.
And no need to invent your own world and such to start with, just run it in Forgotten Realms/Sword coast, and focus on plot arches, adventures and fun :-)
Princes of the Apocalypse is very much good vs evil, but IMO requires a good bit of DM adjustment to really make it work. It's pretty decent overall, but has some weak aspects that can really diminish the experience if left as is.

Tyranny of Dragons is a very good vs. evil story. It requires a good amount from the DM that runs it, but it is a really good story (the best in 5e, IMO).
For the most part, really enjoying the Oracle of War AL series. My group has played up until EB13, and although the quality / originality has started to dip somewhat EB-1 to EB-10 have been excellent.
The story is really interesting, and familiarity with Eberron not totally necessary as it serves to introduce many of the high points / locations / NPCs etc as it rolls along.
I also really like the more straightforward nature of the AL adventures, I find them easier to prep and play compared to the full length WOTC hardcovers.
Oh ya our other game is good old fashioned door kicking, monster stomping mayhem and having a great time as well. It's available in different VTT formats if that's your jam or PDF etc (Kobold Press stuff is great, I'd venture to say as good as or better than WOTC's best!)

Thanks!
Have you thought about asking him to weigh in? Maybe there’s an adventure theme that he’d really enjoy and just hasn’t mentioned it yet.
