Anyone who can provide clearity, please do: my issue with the following text is in the minimum of one part, specifically; knowing which part of the previous sentence is it pertaining to. I care only for lvl 1 as that is what matters for my character.
"You prepare the list of artificer spells that are available for you to cast, choosing from the artificer spell list. When you do so, choose a number of artificer spells equal to your Intelligence modifier + half your artificer level, rounded down (minimum of one spell). The spells must be of a level for which you have spell slots."
Scenario 1: minimum pertains to the rounded down portion only, so you can never receive nothing from your lvl portion of the calculation. And also prevent a character with modifier of zero to still get at least 1 spell (why you would have such a low attribute for your main spell casting, idk) (INT+1)=>1
Scenario 2: minimum pertains to the entire calculation, ensuring even negative spell casting stat modifier would result in 1 spell prepared. (INT+1/2rounded to 0)=>1
It's one half your level plus your Intelligence modifier. So a 4th level Artificer with an Intelligence of 18 would prepare 6 spells (2 for 1/2 level + 4 intelligence modifier).

Find your own truth, choose your enemies carefully, and never deal with a dragon.
"Canon" is what's factual to D&D lore. "Cannon" is what you're going to be shot with if you keep getting the word wrong.
Scenario 2, it's common for classes or subclasses to have features like this or ones that are usable stat modifier times a day, minimum one. It's to ensure that you have access to your features even if you don't have the stats intended for the class/subclass.
