See screenshot. What is the small 'L' symbol in a hexagon next to the monster's name mean? It can't be Legendary since the Ancient Black Dragon doesn't have it but the Adult Black Dragon does ... same with Lair.
So, what is it??
Black Dragon Listing
It indicates a legendary monster. However, if the name is truncated, it doesn't show up.

A monster that has legendary actions (the stat block for the monster will explain that; they’re different for each monster).
