If I purchase the PHB as a player, do I get access to all the spells, feats, races, ect or do I also need to purchase the individual bundles in order to have full access to the "base" 5e choices?

If you purchase the PHB you get access to everything in the PHB. The smaller bundles for spells and such are only for those who specifically want those instead of buying the full book.
I already have purchased PHB and Xanathar's at full price, I also have the DM subscription. If I get the Essentials Kit what do I get if I enter the voucher for PHB at 50%? Do I get credit for the amount I already expend to use on another book? I'd be interested in getting Volo's Guide to monsters, or the Monster Manual.

This is really better asked in a new thread. I can't give you a definitive answer, but I do know that Badeye has said that folks who already have the PHB can give it to a friend. That implies to me that it cannot be used for other purchaes.
I have purchased physical copies of books already. Is there a way to essential unlock the books on here that I have already purchased or is it basically I have to buy the books again on here?

With two notable exceptions, there is no way to unlock physical books on DDB. The whys and wherefores of that are detailed in a number of other threads, including the one here. The two exceptions are: 1) Beadle and Grimm included a certificate to unlock Waterdeep:Dragon Heist as part of their Platinum edition box, but given that the box was $500 US, it was hardly a bargain. and 2) The new D&D Essentials boxed set includes a code to unlock the included adventure and a 50% off coupon for the PHB.
So, depending on how you want to use DDB, you will need to homebrew and/or purchase items here: maybe entire books maybe not, depending on what you want to be able to access. The first post in this thread is designed to help you think about what you might need depending on how you want to use these tools.
Note that I have specifically requested that debates/arguments about the pricing structure not happen on this thread, so if you want pursue that question further, please take it to a new thread. If you have questions about what might be most helpful to you of the tools here, those questions are most welcome here.
I'm planning to buy the Aasimar race, but there are also the sub races, I wonder if I should just buy the sub race bundle option or is the cheaper Race option will give me all the options that I would want. Or will I need to buy both the race & subrace bundle to get everything?

It’s a fine question to ask here. As far as I know, if you buy the Aasimar race in Volo’s, you would get all the Aasimar subraces In Volo’s. I’ve not tested it, so I can’t be 100% sure, but that is my understanding.
Is buying just a subrace even an option? I thought a specific race was as granular as the options went.
EDIT: Nevermind - it does indeed appear that Aasimar subraces, at least, are individually available. So I guess whether a $1.99 race purchase also opens up those subraces (also $1.99 each) is a really good question.
lots of discussion here about homebrewing official content
feels like a copyright issue?
also if I bought something from DM guild, and homebrewed it here, is that alllowed?
I am guessing the only complications come up if you try to make it open to the public?
for example, if I buy a book from M.T. Black, and he has a magic weapon / spell / subrace I like -- can I homebrew i here, for my own use only, with no complications?

As long as it is for your own use and only for your own campaign, then it is fine. It is only a copyright issue if you attempt to make it public.
Think of it like this: if you bought the PHB from a store and shared it with your friends in your campaign, are you breaking copyright? No. If you got a movie, had a few friends over to watch it, are you breaking the law? Nope.
Content you purchase, regardless of type, media or form can be used and shared privately - this is "private use". The law is only a concern if you intend to make that content publicly accessible.
Hello and a good day. Please allow a newcomer to 5e this question:
As DM, if I want to share resources with players, I need an active master tier subscription and of course the digital rulebook resources enabled/bought. In addition to this I have two questions:
1. The players of my campain, do they all need to have an own d&d beyond account which I must put into may campain, or do they just use my account ( I read something about unlimited mobile devices - which led me to this clue: one master account and all players manage their characters via mobile logged all in into the same account)?
2. If I already bought the original hardcover books - there are no hidden codes inside the books that let me enable these on d&d beyond? I really have to pay double for analog and digital?
Hello and a good day. Please allow a newcomer to 5e this question:
1) They need their own account. Then go to your campaign. Up towards the upper right side of the screen you'll see a link in a dashed blue box with a link in it and text that reads: "Send players this invite link to have them join your campaign." Send your players that link and they will have access to your campaign.
2) Sorry, but No. There is no such code. The way DNDBeyond is named can be confusing. DNDBeyond is simply a seller of the WotC content, much like any game store. It is NOT part of WotC. In essence, you're buying another copy of the PHB, etc. NOT an electronic add-on to the PHB, etc. if that makes sense. Here is a GREAT video that explains this in much more detail, if you're interested: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bu9ZIFjJIX4&t=1030s .
I've found, however, that lately, I"m buying solely from DNDBeyond because it is so convenient and accessible with all the cross-links, etc.
There are three exceptions to RATDm's response to question 2 - the (now sold out) exceptionally expensive Platinum Edition of Dragon Heist and the upcoming Descent into Avernus (the Dragon Heist Platinum box went for $500, expect the Avernus one to be in the same ballpark) and the new Essentials Kit - all of which are boxed sets (rather than hardcover books) and contain DDB codes for the relevant adventure. If you are in the US, you can pick up the Essentials Kit from Target, otherwise you are going to have to wait (like the rest of us) until September.
Recently decided to start DMing again and have heard great things about the usefulness of D&D Beyond for both DMs and players and would like to utilize what it offers.
My issue is this though, and maybe someone can answer it for me....... While I wish to use D&D Beyond I find it immensely dishearting that even though I own every book listed for use with the app in physical form that I am required to purchase them yet again in digital format from D&D Beyond to use said books with the app?
Perhaps I am missing something here. Is there a subscription fee that can be paid that allows usage of all digital content that does not require the full cost of each and every book I physically own already?

Thank you
Subscriptions do not provide content, only added features, as explained in the first post.
Please note that the first post also requests that this thread not be used to debate the pricing structure. That issue has been discussed to death on other threads.
Finally, note that you don’t have to purchase everything here, depending on what you want to do with DDB. In fact, if you want, you can homebrew nearly everything for free. All this is spelled out in the first post of this thread.

Thank you for the information and response. I did not mean to come across as debating your pricing structure. For that I will apologize for. Other than that, thank you again and I will research some more information and ways to use this application that is conducive and useful to myself and my group.
