So I did some searching in the forums for this, apologies if I missed it.
When I create custom monsters, if there is any text in the lair, legendary or mythic action boxes, it shows up on my stat block, even if the check box is turned off. I have to manually turn the checkbox on, clear the text, and then uncheck the box for each field. Is this a known bug, or is there somewhere I can set my default to be blank?
It's a known issue. There isn't a "default" setting. It helps it you start from an existing official monster as a template, since then those fields will be either blank or have actual action description in them.
