Possession IMHO, is more of a ghost or fiendish ability that is intrinsic to the creature.
Of course, you could always homebrew on with your DM, if you want to make such a spell; just use the two spells above as guidance for the level, cast time, and difficulty of breaking free.

The meaning there is that an "other effect" could cause a Condition, not that the other effect is a condition.

I don't know possession is an enchantment or not even a spell. Is it?
It's not a spell. It's usually an action that a creature like a ghost can perform on a PC.
