How would deleting your account help in any possible way?
See the very first post. The intent of this thread is to help people who wish to delete, not debate the merits of it. Someone correct me if I am being stupid please.

This. But obviously, y'know, debating the merits of deletion isn't entirely off topic.
I think if someone is deleting their account, it's not a bargaining thing with WotC, it's the fact that as a result of their actions they are disenfranchised with Hasbro and the direction the past few weeks has shown. At that point, why continue to play D&D and account deletion is a perfectly fair thing to do. Me personally, I'm not too fussed about how far WotC and Hasbro backtrack, I'm going to be buying other games and not D&D. I'll continue to play this game, but my paper books are all I need for that.
The only reason I'm not deleting my account is that I've met some pretty cool people on here and don't fancy cutting ties if I can keep them for free. I'm not fussed about bargaining power or pressuring the execs, they've lost my faith and I won't be coming back.
I just want to get a different username, I haven't actually made anything I care about, and I made my account lazily at like 2AM.

Aarakocra Fighter / Sorcerer / Ranger (Subject to change due to reality glitching.) I have been playing D&D for quite a while now (Since fall 2023) and I own a few (a very large number that I have lost count of) dice. I am a retro gaming enthusiast and I own 14 game systems and more than 50 video games (GUESS DUE TO LOSING COUNT AFTER BUYING TOO MANY). Founder of the cult that worships Tiamat for no reason and owner of an original XBOX.
Already done, I am happy now and I didn't delete my account.

The only reason I still have an account is because I purchased online stuff (PHB, sfuff for my character). If I delete my account, I am guessing I lose those too. 🤷🏿♂️

Chilling kinda vibe.
