I've seen that other players who make characters using my unlocked content will have their characters frozen if my sub ends.
I've also seen that we have to be in the same campaign to share content (I think).
What happens if I make a phony campaign to allow someone to access my unlocked content, then I delete that campaign, and eventually we join a different campaign down the line with the same characters?
As far as I know, you will still be able to use anything on the sheet as it would appear so long as it is not removed, but any links to item, lore or character pages would hit a paywall. And once you are part of a campaign that has content sharing enabled that gives access to said paid content, you'd be able to full access and add it again. Basically, don't drop something that requires a source that you no longer have free access to until you pay for it or join another campaign that has it.
I made a dummy campaign so a friend can customize her sheet. A second friend will be DMing in a couple weeks. Once we start that campaign, we'll likely be switching to it rather than the dummy one. I won't be DMing, obviously—will content sharing work if I'm only one of the players and not the DM, so long as it's enabled?
I have a "Playpen" campaign that does a similar purpose. In the eyes of the website the creator of the campaign is the "DM" and the source of any content being shared. That said it does not stop you from just being a player. The only thing is you will be the only one to see the DM notes category and have the ability to manage the campaign settings.

Anyone with a master tier sub can turn on content sharing in a campaign they are part of. They don’t need to be the DM.

it is true that the creator of the campaign is the DM. But the creator/DM is not “the source of any content.” If content sharing is turned on, any purchased content owned by anyone in the campaign is shared with the campaign.
Running into some issues, though. My friend hit the "create a character" option from the dummy campaign link. I made sure content sharing was on, but she's not seeing the extra options outside the free ones. Is there a specific process for creating a character using those expanded options?

Cause I'm struggling with this. My friend joined my campaign and I have content sharing turned on, but they can't access the options. As the DM of this dummy campaign, I can edit their character and add supplemental options, but they can't do it on their own. What am I missing?

Try turning content sharing off and then back on again. Ask them to check to see if their entitlements need to be synced (see link in my signature)

Think we got it figured out (partially)! They have two methods of accessing their account and one was being weird, but they now have access to extra options on the other! Thanks for all your help.
Thank you for that clarification. Yes. I keep forgetting as I am the legendary bundle member of our groups and make sure people don't spend money they do not have to. :)
