So you have to buy an entire book now, instead of picking and choosing different items if you didn't necessary need or want everything from it? I cant seem to get individual stuff from the book of many things
It's not changed. It just hasn't released yet (it should very soon, in the next couple of hours).

If you're not willing or able to to discuss in good faith, then don't be surprised if I don't respond, there are better things in life for me to do than humour you. This signature is that response.
I can't say I've ever tracked it this closely. If they were to remove the individual options, I'd imagine they'd do it for every book rather than just new additions. Give it until tomorrow.

Yeah, you should be fine, this seems like normal timing, the books IIRC drop at midnight eastern time, and I believe the marketplace gives the piecemeal options at that point, not sure though. But the book isn't out yet, will be in hours, and I've never seen individual pieces of content available for preorder.

Jander Sunstar is the thinking person's Drizzt, fight me.
The book is out now. Not seeing the individual options on BoMT but they are still there for Bigby's, DMG, Eberron, etc. Not sure if that's intentional, or if the individual options always become available on the book's release date.
As far as I know, I have never seen à la carte items be available before release date. There is no option to pre-order individual items. You have to wait for a book to be released.
We don't know, is the real answer. The third party publications were never likely to have piecemeal buying options anyway - the margins are too thin since they have to share the profits with at least one other company. We see the same with the app - you can't buy piecemeal options through that, most likely because it costs more due to transaction charges through the app stores.
The item of concern is The Book of Many Things that was first party and also lacked the options. However, the nature of the book may well have caused a decision to not offer them piecemeal - the items generally need physical objects to work properly and explanation within the book itself. I'm dubious of that explanation myself, but who knows.
They did send a message saying that previous items would retain the ability to buy piecemeal, but conspicuously refrained from discussing future products.
The real test will be Vecna: Eve of Ruin. That should have piecemeal options and there aren't really any excuses. If that lacks them, then it'll be reasonable to assume that they're withdrawing that feature. Which...will not a positive thing, from the point of view of the player.

Can't buy anything from humble wood ala carte either. Is that feature just removed now? I guess it was just too good of a deal, huh...
The licensing agreement that DDB has had up until now is that they can sell portions of the books piecemeal. However, since WotC has purchased DDB, that licensing agreement may be changing regarding future releases. However, that licensing agreement was only with WotC, not any other publisher. The licensing agreement that DDB has with the various 3rd Party Publishers, such as HITPOINT PRESS, the company that published Humblewood, has never and likely will never include the rites to sell individual sections of the books they have for sale on this website. So, even if it turns out that future WotC publications do continue to offer à la carte purchasing options, the 3PP products like Humblewood will not.

Does this usually happen? It’s still not up

The book came out yesterday...not sure why people keep bringing up the release date.
Can confirm, I can’t buy anything from the Book of Many Things à la carte, and I am writing this well past the official release date.
