What's up with Pre-ordering all 3 books for the $180-ish price, but my account was only debited the cost for the PHB+Digital? This is highly inconvenient. I have the money for all 3 now. Are they not taking all of the money now and instead debiting in intervals? Maybe I missed it but I didn't see this explained anywhere. Super disappointing business decision if so. Why not take all the money now?
Seems an odd thing to complain about, from what I can see at least. Either they've only charged you for the PHB and you're getting everything else for free (yay free books!) or the money is sitting in your account earning you free money between now and fulfilment (yay free money!).
My only concern would be if the order was screwed up and you're only getting the PHB.

i got the same thing, only issue i'm concerned with is the full bundle i purchased was ~195-ish. but i was charged ~73-ish for what i assume is the first PHB physical and 2 digital licenses. Or it was just the PHB bundle, but all the sales tax for the whole bundle. So next charge would be just the physical DMG and then the final the MM bundle.
If i had to guess, the Monster Manual bundle not charging may be it due to it being released in a different year. Maybe it's just easier from a banking standpoint given charges and fulfillment across different years?
Either way, i'm fine with just partial payments being taken, so long as in the end the numbers are all correct.
Money in a checking account doesn't gain interest. So no free money. It's not like I have an abundance of money anyway and had the full 180ish now. It's highly inconvenient. I wouldn't be so irritated if A) This would have been explained instead of passed along as pay now for all 3, or B) the amount charged was for the 2 books + digital released in 2024 with the 2025 book coming out later. But I got charged for 1 book + digital. This should have been explained up front. I'd have bought just 1 book and preordered the others individually later on.

Some just don't remember what it was like to be on a tight budget, and this economy is just adding people to the situation. I still remember and sympathize with everyone trying to get by and buy things when you can.

When you have a limited budget you need to know when the money is coming in and going out so you can project what you actually have available. It's one thing to be able to set it aside into a savings account to section it off as "don't use", but you can't do that if you never know when the charge happens. If they charge and try to take the money when it isn't there it can cause problems - and some payment methods / banks can even charge you for it. So then you have to keep that money in there, having to do a mental math check every time you want to pay for something that you didn't plan a month in advance for.
Also, well done if you have an account that will earn interest so quickly on current/checking account. From my understanding most don't do this because these accounts are used for frequent day-to-day transactions so banks cannot reliably use your money in them for their investing (which is how the banks make money and why they give you interest). Usually interest is earned on savings accounts or accounts that are less inclined to be frequently used. This is also why the high-interest accounts limit or lockout your ability to withdraw or use the money for considerable periods of time or offer higher rates if you don't use the money for certain amount of time.

BryTheOld, if you have the license under your account, you maybe have lucked out. You may want to check your sales receipts or such for any messages of "we will charge when X" type of statements - if there are none, then they are not legally allowed to charge you at a later date (at least if you're in the US or UK, you may need to check your country's consumer laws if elsewhere).
If in doubt you can always contact their Support (Contact Us link at bottom of the page).

Check to see if your receipt shows the full bundle and then don't look a gift horse in the mouth.

Same here I'm confused and concerned?
Ah, the same thing happened to me. Initial charge was about 192 bucks, but it cleared at only 73 bucks.

Same issue. I don't like having the money floating around in my bank not knowing when it should go. Take my money, please.
