Didn't even know if I should put this post in another section, sorry if I made a mistake, but to the point.
I created Infernal Tiefling Bard with 17 CHA (+3 mod) I chose charisma as my spellcasting ability, but when I look at my DnD Beyond Character Sheet I see in section "Weapon attack & cantrips" that my firebolt cantrip has only +2 to attack roll (I assume it's only proficiency bonus, what with my +3 charisma modifier?)
shouldn't it be +5 (proficiency 2 and charisma modifier 3)?
Double check that you actually selected charisma. It should work. It definitely works for my chthonic tiefling (+5 to hit on chill touch) but I will try to make an infernal rq and see if I see something else.
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
Any time an unfathomably powerful entity sweeps in and offers godlike rewards in return for just a few teensy favors, it’s a scam. Unless it’s me. I’d never lie to you, reader dearest.
I'm seeing the same thing you are. 17 charisma, +2 to hit on firebolt
The problem seems to be with Charisma. I set my spells to use both int and wis, and the bonuses applied normally. I then buffed my int into to 17 and set ability to 17, and verified that my mod went to +5. Then I went back to the original, and tried chthonic tiefling, and it's showing +2 also when set to charisma (mine is a wizard using int)

Whoever programmed it simply forgot to designate Cha as the spellcasting ability for that spell on that Option of the trait. Should theoretically be a 10 second fix.

Thanks for checking it, I'm new in DnD and I wanted to be sure that how it should works.
I created a topic in "Bugs & Support" section.
