I've noticed that DDB has started advertising 2014 source books as compatible with 2024 rules. Example is the Book of Many Things. Does anyone know if there are any more? Is there a list?
They didn't start, they always have maintained that the 2014 books are compatible with the 2024 rules. The difficulty level is certainly different from what I hear from those who have been able to play 2024 rules (new classes are apparently stronger to a noticeable degree), but they all work with the new rules.
All books are compatible with the exception of the 2014e versions of the PHB, MM & DMG.

If you're not willing or able to to discuss in good faith, then don't be surprised if I don't respond, there are better things in life for me to do than humour you. This signature is that response.

This includes monk subclasses in non-core sourcebooks written for the 2014 rules? Not so sure on that...
That's what they said. Every book would be compatible, just the core rules are being replaced.

Well, the it comes down to your opinion on whether it's compatible or not, at which point it's a meaningless free-for-all. Whatever.
Officially, they're compatible.

So, anything released since last summer was designed using 2024 rules, officially.
prior stuff will all work, with the exception of anything specifically replaced in the 2024 books.
So there is no "whole book" that is wiped out. Just parts of them
For example, most of the 2014 DMG is wholly usable -- only certain parts are knocked out. The same applies to the 2024 PHB -- there are cleric domains that are still there.
Yes, work has to be done with player side things because of the new structure for classes, but that's really about it.
So, strictly speaking, the entire catalog is still open -- just parts of books are out.

I'll ask you the same. Do you know why they are specifically advertising that The Book of Many Things is compatible and not stuff like Xanthar's or Tasha's?
You don't need to make the same reply three times. Anyways, I think it's just timing. BoMT is pretty new, so they just added the message when putting it up (partly to reassure people that they weren't about to spend $30 on a brand new book that would be obsolete in a matter of months). XGtE and TCoE are both old books so they just haven't gone back and added the message.
On that topic, it's worth noting that they did say they were planning in replacing or updating those two books at some point (but that's probably not related to the message since other books lack the message and there's been no hint of updating or replacing those).

Much of Tasha's seems adopted as standard by the 2024 rules but it seems to be versions of it, not the same. And pretty sure any Monk subclasses are not going to be compatible unless written specifically for the 2024 rules

Well, I don't think anyone knows the specific answer but if I were to guess, it is because Tasha's and Xanathar's were likely not made with the 2024 rules in mind. BoMT was.
Alternatively, it says that all the BoMT book is compatible with the 2024 rules. As Kotath mentioned, some of both Tasha's has found its way into the new core rules or at least some revisions of it, making at least part of Tasha's incompatible (any rule or feature that conflicts with the new rules must defer to the new rules, according to the devs).
Probably because those aren't "Expanded rules" volumes -- which is what Tasha's and Xanathar's are. Ove the next few years, we'll almost certainly see new versions of Expanded rules that replace them.
I suspect some of them will be in the new FR books coming out next year.

That's the second time you've singled out Monk as a problem in this thread. I'm playing a 2024 Monk at the moment and can't see anything that's changed enough that older subclasses won't work

Minimum, although they seem to be the same, focus vs Ki could be confusing. 2014 subclasses also assume 2014 monk martial arts damage, rather than 2024 damage and I am not even sure if DDB will let you mix and match the 2024 version with anything written for the earlier version.
Sorry but I can't imagine too many people getting confused over a simple change in terminology, those who've played a Monk before will instantly realise it's the same thing and those who haven't won't have any old terminology to relearn. As for the change of damage I don't think any of the subclass features actually specify which die it is, all the features just say "martial arts die" so the fact it's gone up a size makes little difference in terms of compatibility

"What they said" and reality are not always the same thing, for any given 'they'

Maybe it is both possible reasons.
