Looks like they did update what's on sale for "Cyber Monday" but it's still an unimpressive sale. Admittedly I did buy a book, but they could have roped me in for a lot more if they just increased the discount a bit on more items.
Let’s not single any one company out- Black Friday discounts have been getting smaller and/or more targeted for years. This is a shift in market forces as a whole, not some specific squeeze on the D&DB site.
My biggest gripe is that I'm being given the run around by customer service trying to get my credit for prior purchase and the sale price. Because of them screwing up the market place you can only get the credit as a discount code and you can't use two "discounts" but I'm entitled to get my $9 credit on the sale price. With their terrible response time the sale will have ended by the time they reply
...ok, a few, and only a few digital books are now on sale for Cyber Monday aaaaand, nothing I have been hoping to buy.
Black Friday (and surrounding sales) have become less rewarding everywhere lately. Are companies trying to make up for tariff costs? Weren't they already passing that increase on to us? Who knows.

I think it’s more just online shopping- people are probably doing enough of their targeted shopping there it’s not worth the price cuts to try and get them back in the stores for it, plus doorbusters had become somewhat infamous for being sites of scrimmages over items and general chaos. Plus prices have been on the rise for years; cutting back on blowout sales is probably a way to keep profits up and/or mitigate raising the sticker prices.
Plus Beyond specifically has the advantage of unique offerings and hasn’t done many sales on core books in the first place- the books people most want are the ones they need to attach the least enticement to, especially when no one else can make equivalent offers.
Just to add fun to this discussion - physical books that were on sale on DnDBeyond were not available outside the US - the partner site of Wizards doesn't list them. So the sale was really only for US purchasers.

Both Roll20 and Foundry VTT offer digital versions of the books that are tied to their VTTs, so somewhat analogous to what is offered here, particularly for those playing on one of those platforms. It's possible that their licenses have some form of restriction on sales that can be offered, but DDB isn't technically the only game in town (pardon the pun) when it comes to digital 2024 books online.
What a lame Black Friday / Cyber Monday. BF had the many things collection in hardback, but no bundle (no digital). I passed, but wondered whether the corresponding digital editions might show up on CM, but nope. (I see someone posted that one book was added later in the day, after I checked.)
Anyway, the lists of sale items was underwhelming. So many of us have invested in hard copies and would like to complete our collections with digital versions for online gameplay. How nice would it be were there to be some sort of jubilee day where folks could complete our collections at a reasonable discount?
Anyway, now I'm starting to regret having ever purchased anything from the marketplace. I'm getting old. I should have remained loyal to my local bookshop, and/or given my grandson money to purchase these items himself, considering there is no way I can ever pass on my digital collection after I'm dead. Quite a nice racket Hasbro has got here. The greed is unbecoming. I think maybe they have dragon sickness?

It can be more difficult to switch once you've invested a few hundred dollars in one... assuming people would have to buy their whole collection over again.

Cyber Monday sales used to be great here and cover much of the digital material. No longer, guess Hasbro decided they were too generous.

Yup... nothing I want is on sale. Again. Crossing fingers that the digital products will be on sale on Cyber Monday... but I'm not holding my breath.

Digital-only products aren't even on sale, it's the bundles that are on sale. Garbage for Black Friday, yaaaaay.

Welcome to the wonderful world of international distribution.
