I am a level 5 sorcerer that has the ritual spell caster feat. I went with wizard spell least which i found the feat in the program. But it wont let me add any spells to my spell list. Also i thought ritual spells dont take a spell slot? Which i could be wrong. Any help would be much appreciated.
I had to create a homebrew item called ‘[Characters Name]’s Ritual Spellbook” and then add them as spells to the item. It’s not ideal but it mostly works (they show up as AT Will spells but they are listed separately so its obvious where they came from).
I included the character name as I have more than one ritual caster... and therefore need multiple spellbooks.
Ritual Caster feat is currently not working as desired, and I recall seeing that it is on the radar of things to be properly implemented. For now Whirlmeister's solution is the best.
So, we have a Bard in our group. He took Ritual Casting as a Feat.
If I create a Wizard character, in the spell section, I can LEARN as many spells as I want and it will happily add them to my spell book.
But, he, as a Bard, can only LEARN a very small set of spells in D&D Beyond. After that point, there is no more that he can do.
But according to the rules, he should be able to LEARN (put in his Ritual book) as many as he wants (of the ones that are Rituals and are 1/2 his Character Level).
We can find no other button to make this work. We had him add a spellbook to his equipment list thinking that it was a subtle requirement, but that made no difference.
We think the workaround suggested above is the only option at this point. Can anyone confirm?

He'll need to click the Manage Feats link from the Features & Traits tab on the character sheet, then scroll down to Ritual Caster (whichever spellcaster class he chose), and expand the feat to look at the description. There he will find 3 dropdown boxes. The first 2 are for the 2 1st-level spells you get when you first take the feat, and the third dropdown is used to add additional spells he may find and copy into his ritual book during the adventure.

There is currently a bug with the 2024 version of the feat. It's known and will be looked at.

has this been fixed yet? it still seems to be a problem
Yes, it was fixed and has been functioning correctly for 2 years. I just checked and can't see any problems.
Please can you explain what the problem you're encountering is and provide a link to your character?

I think I can explain.

I did this for my character, but the issue is that the spells don't show up in my spell list, which they should per the feat description.
