The artificer class release today is full of bugs. Just tried creating an armorer and it's not giving heavy armor proficiency or letting you pick another replicate magic option at level 9. There's many other bugs reported in the issues forum. I want to highlight this in general discussion though as it's MONTHS late and the release is BUGGED.
Pretty normal for any release. There has yet to be a single release in my memory that didn't come with an Issues and Support thread for exactly the kind of thing I am seeing in there for the Artificer.
It seems to have become standard operating procedure for subscribers to essentially have to serve as unofficial QA testers during the early release period, because every new book is released with a large number of significant bugs and issues that really obviously should've been caught by an internal QA process. It's sketchy as hell, but it doesn't seem like they're going to change the way they do this anytime soon.
