What it says on the Tin. We've had 40, 50 odd years of D&D plus other games inspired by it. So there ahve been plenty of races that have been enemies, NPC's and even PCs. So who would yu like to see make an entrence or a comback and why? Cool factor is perfectly ok.
Also if you don't know a name give a description.
I think they were introduced in 4th edition, maybe third, and I don't know the name. But they are basically living magic gemstones in a vaguely humanoid shape out on a mission. Technicly genderless, but they pick a general shape they like.

Shardmind. This would have been my answer to. Very interesting race.
Personally. I would love a 5.5e version of Tabaxi. Although I can still use the old version for 5.5e I still have to modify it.
Also want this. Yay Kitties! 😸

In general, I'd like to see more species options that don't use the Humanoid creature type. They seemed to be trending that way with the Eberron stuff, but I was a little disappointed the new versions of Dhampir and Reborn weren't Undead.

I want it because then I can have a fully cat based character.
Especially with the addition of a cat based warlock subclass
