I'm going to be playing a Warlock, but going Pact of the Tome and Book of Ancient Secrets. The first thing I intend to do is get the Find Familiar spell and get myself a cat (tortoiseshell color) to go with my nice witchy aesthetic.
I am stumped about a name though, for my cat familiar. I'd love some suggestions!
Edit: Also, is there any plans to allow us to add images? I'd love to be able to upload an image of my character, of my cat, any pictures of special items, etc. Is that maybe something that might come in the future?
How about something from this list of demon names? Many grimoires would give information on demons and the things they taught, so if you had a stealth-focused character you could do Baal or Astaroth, who taught invisibility, or for water-based you could do Crocell, who has some water attributes, etc.

If your kitty is going to be a chimera cat like the one pictured, how about Janus, after the twin-faced Roman god of transitions?
Other options: Hecate (Greek goddess of witchcraft), Luna or Artemis (moons being important in witchcraft), Mephistopheles (to go along with the Faust theme).
Also, Luci, after the little demon in Disenchantment who is often mistaken for a cat. ;)

It is one of the supposed familiar spirits of an alleged witch accused by the witchfinder general Matthew Hopkins in March 1644 in the town of Manningtree, Essex, England. (One of the few things that Wikipedia actually got right for once!)
Faust is much better, though. Good choice.

Human. Male. Possibly. Don't be a divider. My characters' backgrounds are written like instruction manuals rather than stories. My opinion and preferences don't mean you're wrong. I am 99.7603% convinced that the digital dice are messing with me. I roll high when nobody's looking and low when anyone else can see.🎲 “It's a bit early to be thinking about an epitaph. No?” will be my epitaph.
If it's an evil cat then Cato. There's a Cato hidden in all of my campaigns, and they're always evil. It's just a good villain name (and works for a cat)!
