We're explicitly getting the unveiling of the new Storyline! It looks like a bunch of famous names in the DND streamer community are going to be involved too- Anne Prosser Robinson is one of the hosts, the Critical Role Crew (Mercer, Ray etc.), Satine Phoenix, Holly Conrad and a bunch of others have mentioned that they're going to be attending. It looks like they'll be doing some marathon play as well, and if you can't place the image- I've seen it mentioned in several places that the flag in the background depicts the infamous mouth from Tomb of Horrors.
So speculation? What are you hoping to see fellow Beyondlings?
Dungeons & Dragons loves the amazing video streams produced by our fans. This community-generated live-play highlights what’s fantastic about D&D—sitting down together with your friends to tell a grand story!
To celebrate, we’ve invited a bunch of D&D streamers and luminaries to Seattle, Washington to hang out and roll some dice on June 2nd and 3rd! This two-day event is called the Stream of Annihilation and it’s two full days of streaming that D&D fans won’t want to miss. We’ll have folks from Misscliks, Maze Arcana, Critical Role, and Dice, Camera, Action! with Chris Perkins, not to mention international gaming groups like Yogscast's HighRollers (U.K.) and Dragon Friends (Australia).
Programming
Kicking off at 10am on both June 2nd and 3rd, hosts Anna Prosser Robinson and Kelly Link will talk to the Wizards of the Coast D&D team and learn all about our next exciting storyline coming in September. Then each group of streamers will play or share a sample of what to expect from the campaigns they’ll be running over the summer that preview the new D&D story. There will be multiple live games, interviews, new product unveils and improvised hilarity each day, starting at 10am PT and ending at 10pm each night. You’ll get introduced to the High Rollers crew delving into uncharted territory DMed by Mark Hulmes, a new Misscliks show investigating rumors called Risen, two weekly groups from our friends Satine Phoenix and Ruty Rutenberg at Maze Arcana, a new group of L.A. actors called Girls Guts Glory, and more!
Throughout the Stream of Annihilation, we’ll drop details on our expanded D&D Twitch programming, new accessories fans have been clamoring for coming later this year, and amazing board games and products from our partners. You’ll hear from Cryptic Studios about plans for Neverwinter, Curse Media for D&D Beyond, as well as WizKids, Gale Force 9, Fantasy Grounds, Roll20, and more. Plus, like any Dungeon Master worth their salt, we have a few exciting surprises to pull from our bags of holding!
D&D Beyond staff will be there to discuss, and possibly reveal, more of their plans for the tools. That'll be relevant to my interests. Hopefully the character builder will be live by then, but if not it'd be a good time to announce the official start of Phase 2.

I have to say, it seems like the story line announced during this stream is going to be the adventure we know is code named "Dust" which will presumably launch later this year in September or so. Based off of UA urls we know that the player options oriented "first major rules expansion" is going to be "Midway" and it seems like it'll come out sometime in November (pure speculation on my part) as the third release for this year.
My point is though, is that this is really perfect for Beyond- a new exciting adventure (the DND team at Wizards is ecstatic about this story line, according to Mearls interviews around when TFYP came out), followed by the biggest source of new options yet both coming out a few short months after D&D Beyond comes along to streamline everyone's access to the growing list of player options.

Can I speculate what the image says? Cuz I'm gonna..
I think we're going to Chondath & Cormyr if I may speculate as an art appraiser. + Symbia & the Pirate Isles are great mixing grounds for a lot of the class archtypes that have been shown over the last year's Unearthed Arcana. Which I find exciting. The Sword Coast has been fun, but no more Red Larch!
Exciting stuff, can't wait to see what will be revealed! I wonder if this is the adventure that Pendleton Ward consulted in?
It would have to be, I believe Dust the last code name we were told about and he wasn't part of Cloak (COS), Dagger (SKT), or Labyrinth (TFYP)... and Midway is shaping up to be a player's book given that some of the recent UA URL's referenced it. So Dust is the last adventure.

EHHH? I can't be the only one thinking this.
I think it would be cool- one consideration is that Mearls cited in an interview that there was a distinct reason to do with the story line that they were testing eastern fantasy stuff in the UA (Samurai, Kensai etc.) would that fit?
With the fact that WotC have asking about different settings I'm guessing it might actually step out from swords coast setting although if neverwinter is on then maybe not
It was mentioned recently that greyhawk and dragonlance both hew very near to the game as presented in the core books- I could imagine that they might be among the first setting to get support, throw in eberron (and the already supported forgotten realms) and you happen to have the set of settings that correspond to the adaption guidelines from TFYP, I think that since Planescape has essentially become the default cosmology for DND (Sigil is always out there somewhere, etc) and has even been adapted to include some spell jammer influences (ships that can navigate the astral sea to different worlds) the only popular setting left out for the time being is Dark Sun.
I think those settings discussed in TFYP are a road map of the settings we're going to see support for over the next couple of years, all connected in one big DND multiverse that you can physically navigate through using an overarching cosmology that essentially *is* planescape to support that. I think when they made TFYP, they knew they wanted it to be forward compatible.
As a Dragonlance fan, who thinks elements from eberron are interesting... YES.
Just listened to the most recent Dragon Talk. The "lore you should know" segment was about Amn and focused heavily on Maztica. Greg and Matt both seemed very hint-hint, wink-wink about the whole thing.

Forever Dungeon Master & Queer Storyteller
The roads to the east pass through there. Not exactly a high part but it works as a great Constantinople sort of setting.
The whole of the Sea of Fallen Stars / Pirate Isles is ripe for some growth right now. Since we're looking east from the Sword Coast.
I am looking forward to this. It should be fun.
Mearl's recent Reddit suggests he's a big fan of Thay; just saying ;-)
