Is there a reason I would be able to roll ability checks, initiative but not actually attack? I was trying to fire a pistol. (I am only realizing now as I write this that it might be the Pistol as I did not have any other weapons equipped...) I will double check that later, but in the event that is not the issue I hope someone will know.
I have been using Beyond20 for a while now. I love it. As far as I'm concerned it made converting my in-person game into a remote game possible. Kudos!
My group has recently been deciding what to do next. I am DMing, but I don't have a lot of time for prep, so I am basically only considering buying pre-built WOTC modules and running them. I did some research and AFAICT the only places that (are licensed to) sell them are DDB, Roll20, and Fantasy Grounds.
DDB is great, but as we know there is no current VTT, so at best it's a resource to use elsewhere (via Beyond20). I was looking at FG and found a lot of good material and reviews, and good pricing, but as far as I know there is no integration with DDB or with Beyond20, which feels like a dealbreaker to me - I don't want to have to move my players over to the FG character sheets. That basically left Roll20.
I know Foundry has some tools that allow for some importing of content from Roll20 and maybe FG, but it's all a little bit too beta for me right now (and anyway, you still need to buy the content somewhere else first).
So, here's my question: is Fantasy Grounds not support because the author (being a Foundry guy now) has no interest, or is it because FG doesn't have the right API built, or is it because fundamentally it's not possible (since, I think, FG needs to know both what you're rolling and against what enemies, and possibly other info as well), or just a matter of priotization of the author's time, or something else entirely?
Second question: is there another path to using DDB/Beyond20 along with Foundry to run pre-built WOTC modules that I somehow missed?

Can you explain what you mean by "not actually attack"? If it doesn't do anything, then it might be a bug, press F12 to check the console and see if there's some errors there when you click on it. If you mean the "To Hit" d20s aren't being rolled, make sure the pistol is equipped and you roll it from the actions pane (or if it's customized, then it's a bug that will be fixed in today's release).

Beyond20 is a dice roller, not a full game state tracker. So you can roll initiative, then short rest heal hit dice, then attack, etc.
It doesn't know nor need to care what the game state is. You as the player just click the thing you want to roll / do and it performs that action.
It is up to you as the player to click and roll the correct thing.
Beyond20 v2.1.1 is now released which fixed the critical bug in v2.1! Give it a few more hours for the Chrome Store to review it and it should update for everyone.
Beyond20 is an awesome app, I was considering re-buying the books for our COVID online games but this app saved me from doing that, it runs really well, better than the roll20 character sheet!
Is there a way I'm missing, where in Foundry VTT, the rolls will appear in the chat versus over the character as a pop out?
In the chat, I'm able to easily see it and apply damage as a GM, and it sticks around. While if I miss the roll, there is no evidence of what was rolled.
How do I remove a default discord channel to send the roll information to? I accidentally put in the code as the nickname and now I can't see the rest of the channels I have linked because the name is too long haha

The rolls from Beyond20 will always appear in chat, there's also no way of having a chat bubble appear without an associated chat message. So I'm not sure what you mean.

You can select it then click on 'delete currently selected channel'

For some reason, the rolls are ONLY popping up in the chat bubble over the character, not in the actual chat.
Before it would pop in the chat and with other modules, I could apply damage, etc. Now, it stays in the chat bubble and once it disappears, there's no evidence of the roll.
I'm still having an issue rolling initiative when using the DnD beyond dice roller. I have my token selected in R20 and I click initiative on DnD beyond and it makes the roll but then there is on output of the roll to Roll20. I know this was an issue for a bit but other players I play with are now able to get this to work but mine still does not?
It's no longer doing that (Foundry), but then I was having a problem that none of the rolls would show up in my chat. It seems it was a module problem, figured that if you have Dice so Nice! On for everyone, but if you yourself don't have the effect on, the rolls won't appear.
Something funky is going on with Beyond20 for me, when I roll initiative for the monsters it adds a weird decimal to the roll, for example I roll initiative for an orc and it adds 1.12 to the roll, the base number is correct but the addition is strange. Anyone else having this issue? It does the same with the initiative tracker empty and full, and with 'add initiative roll to the turn tracker' off and on.
Never mind, it is the 'add tiebreaker to initiative rolls' setting that caused it.
I'm on version 2.1.1, use DnD Beyond digital dice is turned on, token is selected prior to clicking initiative on DnD Beyond, and I wait for the roll to finish before navigating away from the tab. The roll completes on DnD Beyond but nothing appears on Roll20.

This is all you need. http://ai6k.com/dndbeyond/

That's not really a replacement for what Beyond20 does, but it's certainly better than nothing.

Hi there
I am running what will be my first game using Roll20 and D&DBeyond.
I have set up a campaign on D&D Beyond and my players have joined the game so I can see their sheets.
I have roll20 set up as well and ready to go with the Lost Mine of Phandelver module (with a few tweaks).
Question....
Do all players need to install Beyond20?
Or, can I just install it and link it all up?
I guess I want characters to make rolls on their own character sheets and then for it to be reflected in the roll20 chat box.
Just looking to know whether everyone needs to install it or just the DM.
Many thanks.
Marcus
Everyone needs to have the extension on. They will need to have both dndbeyond and Roll20 on the same browser as well.
Does Beyond20 play nice with the VTT enhancement suite.
Great. Many thanks. Set up a second account on the laptop and tested it. Very cool.

I'll get my coat......
I am still having the issue of my initiative rolls not coming over to R20 when using the digital dice on DNDBeyond. Anyone have any suggestions?
Also I'm having issues with the HPs synching between DnDBeyond and R20 when I have multiple character sheets open.
That should have been fixed in 2.1, make sure you have the last release, or you're not using an outdated developer version
As for HP syncing, having a sheet open or not has no consequence. Make sure you follow the instructions in the FAQ to set it up and that should be it.
