Hi, I am making a duel wielding battlemaster fightrer/bladesinger wizard gish build and I wanted some advice and thoughts from some knowledgeable players. I know that I am sacrificing a lot by not getting higher levels spells this is not meant to be an all-powerful build, just one that I thought would be fun.
House rules:
-Point buy for attributes
-Starting at level 10
-Free feat at level 1 regardless of race
-Bladesingers can be any race
-Slightly tweaked starting stats which I will explain below.
-Race Half orc (With High elf ASI, +2 Dex and +1 INT instead of +2STR and +1 CON, thanks DM)
-From fighter:Two weapon fighting, CON and DEX saves (The DM allowed me to take DEX instead of STR here), action surge, second wind, multiattack, 3 maneuvers(Evasive footwork, Tripping attack, Pushing attack), an ASI at level 4 and level 6. Plus all my proficiencies and starting weapons (two shortswords and a longbow and studded leather armor)
-From Bladesinger: one ASI, Arcane recovery, bladesong, and ritual casting as well as second level spells.
-My starting stats will be 10 STR 20 DEX 14 CON 18 INT 8 CHA, 76 HP and 18 AC with mage armor. With Bladesong, shield and a max evasive footwork roll I can have up to 35 AC at times. (18+4 INT+5 Shield+8 Evasive footwork).
-I will have a VERY high ability to maintain concentration while bladesinging with a +10 to CON saves(+4 proficiency, +2 CON, +4 INT) AT ADVANTAGE
The key to this build will be Shadowblade which I will be using to boost my numbers a lot and trying to keep it up with my high AC and Concentration. I also will have my longbow and more blasty spells at higher levels, as well as haste.
A typical first few rounds in combat would go like this.
-Bonus action bladesong, rush the baddie and attack twice for 2d6+10 on hits.
-Next round Bonus action Shadowblade then another two attacks for 4d8+10
Next round a full attack round for (main hand multiattack) 4d8+10+(Bonus action off hand 1d6+5). I am thinking about trying to talk my DM into letting me get Shadowblade on BOTH of my weapons since I am duel wielding which would make it 6d8+15 per round...but if not I can live without it lol)
-All this time I can be dodging around with my 40 movespeed, evasive footwork, crazy high ac and crazy high concentration. I also have the option to kite around with a longbow for 2d8+10 each round while staying at range. I can also action surge at any point in here to speed up the buffing phase or just to pump out damage.
-Also I will have both the SCAG cantrips and will be using them when it makes sense. Also I can use them for opportunity attacks thanks to warcaster which should bump my numbers a lot. A BB Opportunity attack with Shadowblade on will hit for for 4d8+5....plus another 3d8 if they move
I had considered going 1 fighter/9 BS and 3 fighter/7BS as well. If I did that I would be trading an additional ASI and the fighters buffs for higher/more spell slots essentially.
Remember the War Caster feat has a prerequisite of being able to cast at least one spell. Unless that is also homebrew, you couldn't choose it as your level 1 feat without taking Wizard as your starting class or chose a race that could cast a spell.

True....But my DM has been flexible so far I think I could get him to wave that.
