I tried my hand at making a homebrew subclass and failed spectacularly! Then I find out that someone has made the subclass that I’m trying to make ( Revised way of the Four Elements) {didn’t know someone already made it in DNDB}. Is there a way to edit someone else’s homebrew or use it as a starting point for making your own? Can you keep homebrew items and classes after a subscription ends (1. Don’t like recurring payments, 2. Not in a place where I could pay for a subscription indefinitely)
Yeah I've been searching for answer to this too. The main campaign I play in uses homebrew races and if I make a character sheet with a homebrew race, do you lose access to it if your subscription runs out?
So from the subscription tier chart, it looks like you can't use public home-brew as a free user. I'd presume your access to that content would be something you could read, but couldn't put it in your collection, and what you had collected would no longer be accessible. That doesn't stop you from collecting public home-brew and re-making your own copies of said home-brew in preparation for departing. It's work, but I'm guessing access to the broad home-brew library is a selling point for the paid tiers.
Not sure what would happen to a nonsubscriber with a campaign's home-brew. I want to think that the home-brew content is part of the content sharing allowed through the master's tier, so what you have access to is another example of "you can't take it with you, unless you remake it all yourself".
Throwing my two cents in here to maybe draw some more mod attention for an official answer.

I'm currently looking for the answers to the question what happens after the end of a subscription. This is the 3rd topic I found so far, all of them without an offical answer (or a direction to it) to that. :/

Thank you for your help
You can't edit or copy someone else's homebrew, but I believe it is being considered for future update.
I am actually curious about homebrew collection after sub ends as well.

From what I understand, once you’ve added something to your collection, you keep it and can continue to use it even after your subscription ends.
