so l am new to this "hobby" as some would call it,and l have no idea which books to buy (other then the DMG and PHB,and XGtE) (and now tashas CoE) other then those 4,are there any major books that add a lot of necessary content? (l mostly care about spells, but races, sub classes and feats are usefull ) l am thinking of being a dm at some point,so l was thinking of getting the legendary bundle, but thats like a thousand dollars, which is obviously alot,so l want to get as much "bang for my buck" as possible. should l just buy the 4 mentioned above,or should l get the source book bundle,or save up for the legendary bundle?
You can always work up to the legendary bundle. I bought a few sourcebooks initially and then eventually bought the sourcebook bundle, legendary is next. Everything you buy takes the total of the bundles down, so there is nothing wrong with buying it piece at a time.
For a DM, you will also want the Monsters Manual, and Volo’s Guide to Monsters has stuff for both DMs and Players including more races and racial feats. There are also a few subclasses and spells in the Sword Coast Adventurer’s Guide. The stuff from SCAG could be bought individually because a lot of it was reprinted in XGtE.

Buy a module or two. Curse of Strahd is awesome and I’ve heard Tomb of Annihilation is a good dungeon crawl. Also defo SCAG if you like the Realms.
Oh, and I think Waterdeep: Dungeon of the Mad Mage is supposed to be like the biggest dungeon ever.
I would only buy modules and then buy specific pieces as needed. Tome of foes is alright though.
