MrRhexx on YouTube has several videos that discuss the history of gods in dnd throughout the editions including the creation of gods, the strongest of gods, and what happens when a god dies. Most of his videos are 15-20 minutes long, so if you are interested give them a watch.
Okay, i'm probably missing some lore or text or something, but hear me out.
Are there any established reasons/explanations behind how the gods were made and what powers them?
i ask because i just thought about having a "god" that gets its power from an imprisoned god.
so i'm wondering if gods have an established power gaining system- such as followers, souls, time, etc.
