but also like... *literally* nobody follows that age restriction. and same for Aarakocra for that matter. It's dumb, we all know it's dumb, so we ignore it.

Trying to get your physical content on Beyond is like going to Microsoft and saying "I have a physical Playstation disk, give me a digital Xbox version!"
No "fix" sadly.. But I agree.. having the turtle characters be shortlived is very strange... Goes against the fantasy of the race sort of.. It'd be like giving an elf a -2 dex..
Gothic lineage fixed it now with dhampir or reborn
tortle is humanoid
so tortle dhampir
or tortle reborn
dhampir or reborns can be undead age means nothing now to this tortles.
Im using the concept of a blood dragon or undead dragon using them to return to power once a god now a parasitic curse, little does it know it cant be god again. Making a joke with mushu concept of mulan that point he screams I LIVE
tiny weak dragon but large vampiric hunger for his size, just a familiar reskin.
Nothing in the gothic lineages says they don't age, and not aging isn't a general rule for undead or constructs. So as written, a reborn or dhampir tortle would still age
Have to agree on the Tortle age. When I first read that I was like 'Waaahhh??'. So Tortles live much longer in my campaigns. Not as long as elves, but much longer than humans.
No official errata to tortle's life expectancy. But to be honest this very rarely matter in a D&D campaign anyway, adventurers of any races rarely die of old age.
Probably the opposite. Some designer likely said to themselves, "Most turtles and tortoises don't actually live very long. Let's have an educational moment!" But they forgot that reality is unrealistic: The trope is that turtle-like animals live for centuries, and that's what people will expect from a turtle-like race.
If I had my druthers I'd make their lifespan the same as humans, which is roughly the same as sea turtles. They're born on sandy beaches, like sea turtles, and human lifespans are convenient for gameplay.
I actually like that they added some races that have a lower lifespan than humans. I never was a fan that humans were basically inferior in lifespan to every other race out there.
Because... fifty years is stupid.
"The Epic Level Handbook wasn't that bad, guys.
Guys, pls."
Tasha's has no race information.

Goblins too. Although Aarakocra can die young for all I care, but Tortles should be closer to 500 than 50.

Maybe it was intentionally done ironically... you are turtle but still have a short lifespan.
Cringe, uneducated devs.
