If I am playing a character with an innate spellcasting ability, could those spells be added to a spellbook? For example, a teifling has an innate spellcasting ability but they can only cast the spell once a day. If they're a wizard, would they be able to add those spells to their spellbook for possible additional castings?
Per RAW, if you can cast a spell and you are proficient with the Arcana skill, then you can write a scroll of that spell. Also per RAW, any wizard can copy any scroll of a spell they could cast (level, on list) into their spellbook.
Some DM's may allow you to skip the scroll part, but that would be a House Rule.
Yeah, the scroll part is to represent the extra time and additional expense your PC figuring out how to do it Wizard style instead of innately as opposed to already finding a Wizard version on a scroll.

To be more specific, Xanathar states this " Moreover, the character must have the spell prepared, or it must be among the character’s known spells, in order to scribe a scroll of that spell." So I would say, if you can cast your Innate spell via spell-slot then you can create a scroll of it.
