I've been looking around but I can't seem to find any information on where to sign up for the beta. I've used testflight before and beta'd a number of apps, and seeing as I'll be using DnDB to manage my upcoming campaign, I'd love to get in if possible. Is there a signup anywhere, or was it a preorder exclusive... exclusively?
You needed to either preorder Xanathars through dndbeyond, or you can purchase the legendary bundle and that would give you a right to test the alpha.
SO I have done everything I am directed to do but when I get to the Download ap step I keep being told: "The Google account is not yet associated with a device. Please access the Play Store app on your phone before installing apps." Which makes no sense...any ideas...? HELP Please!
PLease some help? I am a Iphone user. I bought the pre-order of Xanatahar, I received the email from D&D Beyond "Access the D&D Beyond Mobile Alpha Now". I downloaded the TestFlight app, but I did not receive the "Invitation code" Where is it?

I would recommend contacting support. I received an email from testflight inviting me to the alpha. Clicking that button on my computer showed me a webpage that had the code while clicking it on my iPhone takes me to the testflight app to verify.
A question for all the testers: Is the app a front end for the web GUI we get on a browser? Or is it a completely new product. I find the dndbeyond web solution very elegant, it looks very good on all devices and is very responsive. I honestly don't really need an extra app. Is the point to save on data?

Hi Nils,
the mobile app is different from the website. Same sources but different look. IMHO, it looks nicer on the mobile app. But, the main reason for such efforts on this app is the offline functionality.
The other night I had the app open in split screen mode on my iPad. I tried the website but the mobile site isn't great for navigation away from the page. I also use it as an ebook, which again works better than the website (web currently works infinitely better as a reference). But it really depends on how you use it.
Are they still accepting applications for the alpha? I have had mine sitting for a few days. No big deal if they are not just wondering
I'm also curious, as I found this thread after I had purchased Xanathar's Guide ( Serendipity ) but obviously at this late time, it was no longer a pre-order.
If you have the legendary bundle, you can fill out the registration for alpha access. Access is sent out weekly-ish, so it'll be a bit of time before access is given.
Is it only for those that have legendary bundle? I have xanathar’s guide and was able to fill out the access form
If you preordered Xanathar's that gave you access to the alpha. If you didn't preorder then currently the legendary bundle is the only way to get access. If you are talking about the access form from BadEye's post then technically anybody can fill out that form. However, if you did not preorder or have the legendary bundle then I would expect the form to be rejected by staff.
Ah, okay. I was (mistakenly) under the impression they'd moved past the alpha to the beta already. Thanks for the information.

I'd like to remind everyone that this thread is about the mobile alpha. Please stay on topic, or posts will be deleted or moved.
A dwarf with a canoe on his back? What could go wrong?

I have written to support with nearly same problem...waiting on a reply.

Thank you both for your quick replies. I'll definitely try the app when it's out!

Is the App only going to be an E-reader or will I be able to look up and modify my characters in the future?
