No need to check and refresh, folks! We're still working on tying the new perks up, we'll be shouting from everywhere when they get released. Thanks so much for your patience, everyone!
Have animated and non-animated versions of frames been released in separate months? I only just subscribed recently, and I have the Animated Arcane Mist frame (which I love), but I don't have a non-animated version, but I do have a green version called Spore Cloud which is non-animated (and no animated version of that one).
I would have expected that if Arcane Mist was a subscriber perk that I'd get both the animated and non-animated versions, i.e- treated as a single perk?
Wouldn't it be great if they would preplan the perks for the next 6 months and simply prep all those things for a monthly release on schedule?
Wouldn't it be great if people didn't complain about extra free stuff that dndbeyond gives as a gift that people are now feeling entitled to?
EDIT: By nature of them adding the monthly perks to the list of items you gain when you become a subscriber, you legitimately are entitled to them, as you are paying for them.

Its not exactly free, when your promoting them alongside subscriptions.
Its a promotional material to entice you to buy a subscription. Its more marketing at this point.
Kinda like the "Did you know if you link your amazon prime and twitch accounts you get a free sub to apply to any one streamer" meme that was going around a few years back.
and also:
Wouldn't it be great if white knights stopped defending companies that promise something then fail to deliver on time?
Edit: It feels like a system being brought forwards that people asked for and they are "trying real hard" to make it work. From my point of view its currently being poorly planned out and executed during the change up of staff. The focus is 100% on other things and might not exactly be the fault of DDB trying to do the system during the week of reveals while trying to balance WOTC abysmal release schedule and their own... release schedule?(I dont thing DDB has one tbh)
I am happy with last month perks but think they did make a mistake not planning at least 6 months worth in advance, if they missed a date (which they now have ) they must have known people would be pestering.
I can wait after all it's just cool extras but I do still find my self now checking twice a day to see if they have landed.
Nothing is free if you have to pay to get access to it as Watusa pointed out. But hey - please tell me when those gifts you are talking about start rolling in. Always happy to be gifted. ;)

You are correct. It is not free, so I was incorrect in that statement. The reason "free" was my choice of words is because I've been a subscriber off and on for maybe 4 years now, so more stuff on top of a subscription I was already paying for seemed like free to me, but that is 100% not the case and I misspoke.
My point was, this is stuff they were "experimenting" with as an added bonus to those that are already subscribed and as a way to perhaps entice more subscribers. That being said, if you were a subscriber prior to May, the perks were not a part of your subscription, meaning they were entirely a bonus. They've now been added as a core piece of the subscription, so I can understand how being late on a service you're paying for is problematic.
No idea what the amount of time you are subbed has anything to do with it tbh. Thats so far off the point. Its also unimportant in which way i personally profit from it tbh.
What you call "experimenting" for some weird reason is actually just one way of customer retention. I don't know how ddb handles things but from my experience those "experiments" or better customer retention incentives are, after introduced, monitored and people usually take a look at the kpi in that department and see if things have a positive effect or not.
I might be a burned guy here, but stuff that you announce and you aren't on time the following month just triggers me. :D And its nothing personal at all - i just critique the process.

Pretty sure my explanation on being a subscriber for years make clear sense, but I'll just give you this additional note. They added something small in addition to what I was already paying for, without increasing the price. If you can't understand how that's on point with my explanation of my original choice of words, then I don't know what to tell you lol And they are stated as experiments in the original post, I didn't assign that label to them.
I only have 3 new frames; the fourth one isn't appearing for me yet.
Nothing new is up yet. You must have the ones that were previously released to everyone. I guess? If you only have Nine Hells, Spore Cloud, Ankhtepot - then you only have the free ones everyone got, not the subscription ones.
Are there any updates on this? Unless I missed something, it's a little odd that nobody has even mentioned the delay beyond a passing comment in this thread by Mellie a week ago. It's not the biggest deal in the world, but it is exciting to get the new perks and a little deflating to then just not get anything beyond radio silence. I wouldn't mind the delay so much if there was information about it, but it's hard to relate to just silence.

I randomly got a XGTE backdrop, was that apart of a sub perk?

'Soon' TM
I'm sure us subscribers will all receive something to make up for the fortnight delay...

Any update on the perks? I've got my fingers crossed for digital dice... 🤞🏻
Halfway the month probably means it is so many goodies it is a lot of work to process.
Right?
Maybe it just got bugged, like instead of first day of the month, it's actually on the last, hue.
Whelp, free is freeWe'll have an update soon! Thanks so much for the patience, everyone. ❤️
