First off - the Spring Cleaning referred to in the first post has been completed.
Everything seems to be working correctly. Please let us know if you experience any difficulties.
With regards the Battlesmith Steel Defender - I want to be clear that this is not what we consider a good solution for this - it doesn't allow clickable rolling of attacks, saves etc - that's something we really need a full solution for - dynamic stat blocks to allow characters with familiars/pets/sidekicks to fully utilise them for play.
For now, as much as Timer has really pushed the snippet system way past what it was meant to be able to do, we consider this style of surfacing the data an interim solution.
Our hope is that it helps everyone who is playing a Battlesmith.
Is there any plans in the works for doing a similar interim for the Homunculus Servant infusion, or is that not possible since it's considered an item?
I've build a feat as a workaround, but I was wondering if there was anything official in the works

This same issue is additionally present with an Artillerist Artificer's Eldritch Cannon feature. It is always a chore to look up and manually roll dice for its saving throws, ability checks, or similar actions. What I've found useful as an (admittedly annoying) workaround is building a homebrew creature block for it and adding it to Extras, then editing it when it levels up or changes in any way.
If I purchased the items from the Icewind Dale book already, will the resourced items become available to me? or do I have to make another purchase? I didn't buy the whole book, just the items.

Thanks!!
I just checked with a character that's in a campaign with Icewind Dale shared, and I'm able to add things like Sled Dog to my inventory, while a character without that access doesn't show it. So you should be able to add those items to your characters.

Yeah giving him level up and down fixed the issue and applied the new actions block for the Steel Defender :) Shame the Homunculus doesn't get added, I did have it added in extras, so I at least have a way to track it's HP.

My Artificer uses a personal homebrew subclass, so I've added a feature option that adds a Homunculus Servant bonus action snippet stat block. I also made a homebrew monster that I update when I level up.

Eldritch Cannons shouldn't ever need to roll a saving throw.

The cannon is a magical object. Regardless of size, the cannon has an AC of 18 and a number of hit points equal to five times your artificer level. It is immune to poison damage and psychic damage. If it is forced to make an ability check or a saving throw, treat all its ability scores as 10 (+0). If the mending spell is cast on it, it regains 2d6 hit points. It disappears if it is reduced to 0 hit points or after 1 hour. You can dismiss it early as an action.

Any news on Dark Gifts being added in? I know a while ago it was stated that the coding was more confusing/hard to do, and thus was coming at a later date.
A Re-Sourced entry is one that has been moved from the Basic Rules to the Listed Source, Access to it will be through owning or being shared its new source. If an entry was already present on a character sheet, it will be retained until the entry is removed by the user manually.
So this is just a way to push sales by requiring things behind other books that were part of the basic rules?

Yup, that's also how I handle that.
It's pretty irritating. 😞

Yup, as Naruhoodie says (thanks) if you own the relevant book (or have it shared with you) then you'll be able to see the content.

I have purchased the ITEMS ONLY. not the entire book.
Do you mean the magic items from the book?
If so, then no - the content, such as dogsled are adventuring equipment - not magic items, so won't be granted to you.
We don't, at this time, offer adventuring equipment for individual purchase - they're granted if you purchase the full book.

Those Battlesmith changes, with new Steel Defender on Actions Tab, aren't live yet, right?
They are, under Bonus Actions.

Hmm I can't see it on my artificer. Is it only added to newly created characters?
You may need to refresh the page, or bump the character up a level and back down.

Eldritch Cannons shouldn't ever need to roll a saving throw.
https://www.dndbeyond.com/sources/basic-rules/adventuring#InteractingwithObjects
Objects always fail Strength and Dexterity saving throws, and they are immune to effects that require other saves.
The description of the Eldritch Cannon suggests otherwise:

Seconding Firefly's post, being able to add in Dark Gifts would be great.
