Even if this does turn into a subscription based service, d&d has fewer barriers than any other RPG on the market. The core rules are available online. As is much playtest content, this site will always have the content you see, available and apparently for free. After this, I hope the price point hits the happy point where people with limited funds can enjoy it, and the people working on it can feed their families.
