So timelines are a tricky thing. You want to be very careful when committing to a date otherwise it can make people "upset" when that date is not met and sets up poor trust between the developers and the community.
I do hope that the people behind D&D Beyond take the time to communicate on new developments with the community and top highlights or questions they have noticed appear. It is still early in the beta but it seems to me that they are off to a good start.
A feature that would be nice on the forums would be alerts to new threads in this particular subforum. Next update announcement, I'd like to know as soon as I log in. I don't always check all the forums, but I check my alerts regularly.

Currently, the three options you have available to you:
1. Subscribing to specific threads you wish to follow (Tools menu when viewing a thread). Notifications can be set up to email upon update, if desired.
2. Subscribing to a specific board you wish to follow (Tools menu when viewing a board).
3. Viewing by new content. On the main forum page, you can click into 'Tools' and view new content only:
You can choose to include all threads you've posted or subscribed to, or all that have been updated within your last visit/last day/last week/etc.
Hopefully, you're able to achieve what you desire with the tools already in place.
So far, so good. I can't wait to see more on the content offerings and pricing plans. Haven't decided if this is for me yet, but I like what's going on.
Regarding timelines, I beg the developers not to post them. Nothing caused a forum to descend into negativity faster than a missed deadline. You post a date, no matter what caveats you include, a certain group of entitled users will fill threads with complaints about your "unprofessionalism." Thank god this product is not Kickstarter funded. Release things when they are ready. Don't announce new features or updates until you are absolutely sure that it is ready to release. Better yet, don't announce until the release date.
It's not a beta test if your not testing the thing. This is market research. I understand for D&D to continue it has to be profitable. Sabrina money by asking the community to do that work for free is fine but I think your asking too much with no incentive. What's worse is I know your not testing the real content you want people to pay. So that means the real beta test is a paid beta. I don't buy early access betas and that seems like what ddb is going to be.
So far I've enjoyed DDB. Sometimes I can't find everything I look for, but it is a Beta. This has been a fantastic demonstration for what is to come! Can't wait for the next Phases

This remains Phase 1 of 3. Please limit the promotion of assumption as factual data, as full content nor feature is presently available.
There are many in this community who have found large incentive in joining in Phase 1, whether it be in the community building, the user discussion, or the Compendium tools. More features will soon be coming with the next phases of the beta. Lets try to keep things constructive and promote change in aspects you may find unfavorable.
How much is this stuff going to cost? If itâs more than free itâs [insert portent of doom here].
We still canât quite release details about pricing, and releasing half-details always causes trouble.
What I can confirm (as I have before) is that there will be a subscription offering and ways to buy official content without a subscription.
As stated above, we are launching this summer, so pricing details canât be that far off.
Could there possibly be a way to roll in previous purchases? For example, some people own all the current D&D books, maybe those folks shouldn't have to pay as much for content they've already purchased. Require proof of purchase, or something.

Your wrong. The official post that starts this thread says nothing beyond the basic rules will be released for the beta. Not all constructive criticism is positive.
Wow, that response was awesome! I love that kind of attitude. This is the type of moderator we need to see more often. ( stands up and claps, yet realizes you can't see me, and sits back down)

I haven't found anything to report that hasn't already been reported in the bug report section. In testing the functionality, I really like what the foundation looks like. I'm still finding my brain gets confused at the layout of the compendium page, but that's just me in going from other ways of finding this info to this one. Also, I probably organize a bit differently than they do, but it really is pretty well organized.
I'm here because I have loved D&D since sometime in 1980 or maybe '81 when my neighbor got it for Christmas. since then it has been on and off again based on where I lived and who I had around to game with. The other reason I'm here is I love beta testing things and have honestly been trying to figure out how to get off my butt and get more digital so maybe I can actually do a virtual tabletop game with my friends. Currently we are testing a friend's homebrew every other week through roll20, but I wouldn't mind running something of my own at some point though it is all on paper only! I sadly think some of it was lost in all the crazy moves I've done, yet I have things I've written when I was 13 saved.
I'm getting antsy myself for the next phases, but having done way too many IT projects in my life, I know rushing just screws things up. I've seen some pretty dumb engineering screw ups in my time due to rushing and not having the foundational pieces properly tested and working before adding to them. I rather like that the test is only using SRD as that is already free stuff we can all run off with and WotC is not going to care. It also has all the formatting required to make sure all the cool stuff to be added will work when they put it in for the actual product we can buy. The other great thing is they are gearing this to work at the level of digital mania we want to go with from integrated campaign stuff (phase 3) to multiple ways to work with our character creation and use of the sheet during game play (printed or digital). They even indicated that the main app will work offline, but you will have to connect for updates and to add modules to your product. (This is me hoping it is modular like ability to get what books you want or don't want).
So I'm going to keep probing this place for SRD stuff to see if I find any break in it. So far, I haven't managed to find anything major and like I said, most of the things I found someone already reported. The staff is doing a good job paying attention and making sure they give us some feedback when they can. I even sent a PM to one for a suggestion of a mega thread for the future phase 3 and though I did not get an answer, I'm sure it got read and filed as note to the wish list. =)
On with the testing so this thing really functions well and can be a great resource whether you play tabletop or virtually. Just have some patience and don't complain only SRD stuff is in it for a beta. If the SRD stuff is not working right, the other stuff won't either!
Oh, and if you are getting too antsy, find something to keep you busy until you can test something else! I know I'm doing some PbP here, have one roll20 game going, do two different MMOs, try to help write and edit for an amateur gaming magazine, run art classes for up to 12 teenagers weekly, have a hubby, like to write and craft stuff, and even better devour books! As a disabled person I really do have a lot of time on my hands and really do have trouble doing things, but I still know how to keep busy.

Why is Eldritch Blast, something not available in the SRD, listed as SRD?

I am waiting for phase 2 the most.
So far, this is a great product. Even if this was all that was available for free, I'd be fine with that.
We do bones, motherf***ker!
