Moving over to another hole, Randall plugs it with candle chunk and wedges it in with a nearby hand axe haft. He looks over to the strange combat and sends a spectral mace at the invisible creature.

Z is hit, and takes some damage. However, the 'thing' also takes 25 Cold Damage from Armor of Agathys - which I think also means a saving if the thing is using concentration on some sort of invisibility spell.
(ooc: concentration saves are CON saves but the actual roll still beats the DC of 10 so you don't lose the spiders.)
(ooc: thanks for the reminder on the 25 cold damage... another saving throw for what?)
(at higher levels with so much going on behind the scenes I sometimes lose track of things, if I ask questions or ask for reminders please don't take it the wrong way and allow for the most positive benefit of the doubt possible.)

Zenodor asks Irraxan to carry on plugging holes, but feels it's time to go on the offensive
He shoots bolts of Eldritch energy at the thing that just slammed into him (3 bolts, each with disadvantage as he can only see the disturbed water, and as the thing may or may not be too close for undisturbed ranged attack)

Tempe produces a ball of fire (produce flame) in his clawed hand and throws it at the invisible assailant: attack Disadvantage 10 fire damage 19 Then moves next to Zendor as Pinky flies above and inbetween He and Z "Come with Us" Tempe says to Z and Pinky uses his fiery teleport Dex save DC16 6 fire damage. Then Pinky hides behind Tempe.

The giant wolf spiders attack climbing the wind (they still do half damage piercing)

Zenodor plugs a hole, and so does Irraxan.
Tempe summons 8 spiders just above the Invisible Thing and they drop down upon it, biting where they can. Pinky plugs a hole.
Petcan casts Faerie Fire but it doesn't take hold on the Invisible Thing.
Invisible Thing slams into Zenodor and also solidly into Tempe.
Randall plugs a hole and summons a spiritual weapon, directing it to strike the Invisible Thing.
