The Professor beams at Eve's obvious enjoyment of the bracing beverage.
"Yes, the job. A colleague hypothesizes that our current prolonged cold spell has so connection to this chirwingas, and with their cooperation, she may be able to end it. She needs one, or more, I suppose, brought back to study, but since she needs them to be willing participants, we need to recruit them, not just bop them on the dome and drag them back. I have another associate that I hope will join us, though they don't reside in Bryn Shander."
He explains what he knows and what she told him of the creatures.
A chwinga (pronounced cheh-WING-ah) is a tiny elemental spirit that lives in plants, rocks, and rivers far from civilization. Painfully shy, chwingas prefer to move about unseen.
If two or more chwingas live in the same area, each one will take shelter in a different plant, rock, or body of fresh water. Though no two chwingas look exactly alike, they resemble 6-inch-tall animated dolls with strange masks, spindly limbs, and wild hair. Their appearance is sometimes foreshadowed by cool breezes, the sweet smell of flowers, and dancing fireflies. Their mere presence makes a natural setting more lush and vibrant.
Chwingas shun most other creatures, but they find the trappings of civilization fascinating. They puzzle over creatures that wear armor, carry weapons, use tools, and cook food. When a chwinga encounters one or more humanoids, its curiosity sometimes gets the better of it, and it shadows those creatures for a short time to observe them. If it takes a liking to a particular humanoid, a chwinga might use its cantrips to aid it, or might bestow a magical gift before departing. The features that attract a chwinga to a particular humanoid can vary. In some cases, a chwinga might simply like the way a humanoid walks or the way it combs its hair. Other times, it might be smitten by a humanoid’s ability to play music or to eat copious amounts of food.
Chwingas sleep but don’t require air, food, or drink. They don’t have names and have no ability to speak, but understand language. When a chwinga dies, it turns into a handful of flower petals, a cloud of pollen, a stone statuette resembling its former self, a marble of smooth stone, or a puddle of fresh water.
((Left it vague, re:Ryhunis, not sure if we established that they'd met all of the others as a sentient entity in their own right.))
"AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!! THIS IS SO BORING!" You hear a loud voice coming from the backdoor "Professor would it kill you to give me something to do while i wait for these tests to do?" she tried to sigh"oohh yeah.. still can´t breath" "I swear sometimes I wonder why I am still here. You are a good per..." She didn´t exited the room due to some tests but she made herself very very well known she was there
Maudath takes a sip of the concentrated tea, moves it around in his mouth a moment, swallows, sniffs the cup, shrugs, and then knocks back the rest of the drink in one shot.
"Interest-" Maudath starts but then stops mid word when the loud cry from the back room belts out.
He looks from the doorway, to Professor Wibblepingle, and then back to the doorway, and hand moving to the sword hilt on his back.
When the scream comes from the back room, Eve’s eyes go wide and her hand goes instinctively to a half-green-half-black crystal hanging on a leather thong around her neck.
If anyone was watching really closely, they might see little wisps of black smoke escaping from between her fingers as she stares towards the door...
Iris calmly sets down her teacup (secretly glad to have an excuse to stop drinking it) and flips open the top of a small, rectangular leather pouch at her side that the Professor might recognize as one of his own creations:
It contains about a dozen tiny jars and vials on a rotating wheel that Iris uses to store what few components she needs for her spells. It's simple, perhaps uncharacteristically so for one of the Professor's inventions, but efficient.
Her hand hovers over the pouch, fingertips faintly glowing with white light as she tilts her head curiously towards the source of the noise.
"Ah! Yes, yes! It's alright everyone, be at ease."
He hops down and scurries through the clutter to the back, calling out. "Oh stop it! Last time I gave you a job to keep your hands occupied, you got bored and smashed it over your own head! I swear, you've all the patience of a child!"
He returns leading Ryhunis.
"I'm hopeful that Ryhunis will join this little endeavor as well."
The front sitting room is now getting quite crowded.
((Wasn't clear if this was when/how you were intending to introduce Ryhunis, so hope it works, DM.))

"Finally treating me like the Lady I am" she walks to the cushion and it gets immediatly flat "I hate that I can´t lose weight" she thought She was a tall 2 m heavy figure. Her torso looked like just a cutten rectangle with arms, legs and fingers not directly attached to her but looked quite similar to her torso 1/4 of the way, from top to bottom had a golden circle with 2 diagonal lines representing the eyes, with the right one also having a vertical line. On the rest of her body she had arcanic pulsating golden lines, besides these lines she didn´t had any other kind of feature. She didn´t used any clothes, mainly due to her big body it was quite hard to get clothes that wouldn´t get riped in half with each arm movement.
"wait you are coming too? Be caureful, with your age i wouldn´t be suprised if your hips got broken even before you left the house much less actually fighting, Just thinking about your care nothing else" she tried as far as she could to cross her arms. "hhhmmm these people are normal... hhmmmm interesting. They better be usefull to my path of becoming a saint."
((just edited reaaally sorry i forgot to add her description))
Eve looks, a little stunned at the woman that just walked in. She tries to make some sense of what she is seeing...
((OOC: what are we seeing in front of us? Is Ryhunis a normal human or made of rock or metal? Does she wear clothes? Does she have a face and arms and legs? Cogs? Lights? What do we see? Thanks))
With the professor’s reassurance, Eve relaxes a little and approaches the entity known as Ryhunis...
She seems to have forgotten Iris and Maudath completely, like a toddler that’s seen a butterfly!
She reaches up towards Ryhunis in wonder and her hand almost touches her front side. “Is this one of yours, Professor?!... Is this.. what?.. metal.. or stone..?”. She smiles at the lights, “and theses? Somehow, swamp gasses? Or.. fire? ... ...Not lightning?!!”. She pulls her hand back and looks, smiling, wide-eyed, from the professor to Ryhunis and back.
"I am.... a very complicated case, wich would probably take more time then we currently have or that i even want to waste, so let´s move on and get this thing over with. And even if we had time, that would be something only those i trust, wich you clearly are not" she said while moving her hand away from the wierd looking thiefling "Better to not let them know, and let´s be honest i just meet her, even if i was a saint, did she really thought i was just gonna tell her my life story all of a sudden? please I had people and their whole families, even cities, burned alive for less"
Eve withdraws her hand slowly, still fascinated with Ryhunis, and narrows her eyes that sparkle and glitter with playful glee. But she looks a little less childish all of a sudden somehow too. Her smile is still wide, with a kind of ‘Oh hells yeah! This one has some fire to her!’ kind of look.
” ‘A very complicated case’, eh?.. Ha! I can see that!...”, she says nodding, “You’ll fit right in!”, she concludes, and turns away.
Her curiosity satisfied for now, she wonders back to her place by the door, grabbing another pastry on the way.
(In the spirit of Grwobert, is Iris okay with Rhyunis check: 6)
Iris settles her hands back into her lap, but the pale glow doesn’t quite fade from her fingertips. Her eyes only briefly leave Rhyunis to check Maudath’s reaction. Something doesn’t quite sit right with her about the golem, and even though the Professor has said they can be trusted, she knows how reckless he can be.
”Do we have any sense of where they might be found?” Iris asks the Professor, still not looking at him as she speaks. “Any recent sightings of the creatures?”
As she walks back, Eve notices the faint glow around Iris’s fingertips and is taken by just how beautiful the other tiefling’s fingers are: the smooth skin and tidy, delicate nails; her pale blue colouring; the faint glow.. .. .. Like how she’d imagine an angel’s hands might look...
She looks down at her own hands. At their unsubtle hue; their hooked, black nails; the rough texture.
She concentrates and tries to make them glow, even just a little bit, and a small, crawling arc of green energy makes its way across one palm followed by a slight whiff of black smoke.
She quickly stuffs her hands behind her back, looking around to check no one was taking any notice.
Out of nowhere, Eve darts forward and braces herself, with her arms, against the table, knocking the tea cups just ever so slightly. Enough to make them tinkle.
“...Strong... and ‘fascinating’....”, she blurts out, before looking around the room apologetically.
”Uh.. the tea!.... ... Yes, Professor, the tea..... is.. strong and ‘fascinating’... Mmmm, yum.....”, she says, picking up another cup, trying to disguise a grimace as she takes a sip, looking up and around into the corners of the room.
Deception check: 10
“Ahah!...”. She slinks back to her place by the door with what equates to another 5 cups of tea...
With one final suspicious glance towards Rhyunis, Iris lets the light fade from her fingers and flips her component pouch closed. Rising from her seat and abandoning her own teacup, she walks over to the corner Eve has holed herself in. Her face softens into a slight smile, though it's laced with concern.
Quietly, so the others can't overhear, she asks, "Are you alright? You seem nervous."She pauses for a second, seems to think something over, then says, "Let me rephrase. It seems like I'm making you nervous."
As a healer Iris may have come in contact with neurodevelopmental conditions such as the D&D equivalent of Tourette’s Syndrome, or similar. In this setting, they may be well understood or chalked up to an unbalanced mind. Some may even speak of demons of the mind. Eve didn't style-this-episode-out very well at all.

When Eve asks if Ryhunis is one of his, he looks at the golem and back to Eve, a bit evasively, "Ah, erm, well..."
He raises an eyebrow at Ryhunis, letting her define things for the others.
