"How generous of you Wolfe, I assume this is the case and not Rabbit giving your money away while you are distracted?" Mau politely nods towards Wolfe with a wry smile. Once the Wolfe has finished flirting with the waitress Mau will order some stew.
"Just gathering some vital information for us." Wolfe says with a smile as he seats himself down at the table again, resuming his drinking. "And yes, I'm buying Mau."
"What do you all say about meeting up for breakfast tomorrow and explore this quaint town together, pay a visit to the Lionshield Coster for instance, and find this wizard Iarno Albrek?"
"Did you learn of anything useful Wolfe? It does seem like there could be other opportunities to earn some coin here." Mau looks around the inn eyeing up the other patrons while waiting for his food to arrive, his tail swaying happily back and forth "We should inform the Lionshield Coster about their stolen supplies as well."
"Yes, well, that is what I meant, informing the Lionshield Coster as Sildar suggested. I have no more information on these Redbrands yet, but I'm confident I will know more in the morning." Wolfe answers the tabaxi after taking another swig. "Perhaps we should call it a night?" He says, looking around at the others still at the table.
"that's right boys and girls time to sleep!Tomorrow I ll have to fix my handaxe and in the meantime we can earn some coin.."
Krull goes outside of the inn to their cart to pick up the wildboar he killed ..he brings it back inside and goes to the bar."can you cook that for us tomorrow? And you can keep for you some portions "
Edryd smiles awkwardly, "Thank you Lady Elsa. You should not fear the darkness." His eyes grow wide as he continues, "If these Redbrands disturb the peace of the night they will be forced to atone for their transgressions, Selune's wrath will be brought down on their heads."His voice is a bit more the a whisper and he edges a little closer to the women as he looks unblinkingly into her eyes.
When he finishes his meal he would slide a single dirty gold piece across the table to Wolfe. "This is for my meal. It was rather good, better than nuts and berries I am used to. I shall be at this Edermath's loft if he will spare a bit of space under the stars. If you all intend to help these people and purify the darkness I would like to continue with you when the cursed sun rises in the morning. I shall meet you back here." With that he would get up and head out to the Orchard.
Wolfe gives Elsa a few appreciative glances as she comes and goes, chuckling at the comment about the hay loft. As he finshes up his meal he walks up to the bar and tries to talk to her while Toblen is not within earshot. "I couldn't, umm, help noticing you...mentioning something about fearing Redbrands Elsa. I would very much appreciate if you could find the time later to expand on that subject. And then there's the matter of that hot bath, if you could see to that somehow when you close up, I´m in the last room on the left." He says with his most seductive smile, prepared to sacrifice himself for the good of the party.
Persuasion to get Elsa to tell him more about the Redbrands later: 12 Very important reroll using luck point: 23
Elsa blushes a bit as you walk up to her and begin talking. However, she blanches at the mention of the Redbrands, and she looks around the inn nervously. "An' you should fear them too, mister. A bath? Middle room upstairs. It'll take time to haul the water up there, heated an' all. It'll cost 1 gold per bath-" Toblen's voice interrupts you both "Elsa! People been waitin'! Look mister, Sildar's friend or not, we got an establishment to run. An' either way, Elsa's got 4 brothers and me." He puts his hands on his hips. "Yer bath'll be ready within the hour. I'll add it to yer expenses."He shakes his head at you and heads back around the bar. Elsa face reddens even more, "You ain't my pa, Tob!" She sighs loudly and hustles off to the other tables.
Rabbit quietly eats her food, finishing off the tart first. She slowly sips at the applejack while looking about the inn to see who might be there this evening. (Perception: 4)
When Mau returns she replies, "We just got started, you're not too late Mau." Once he is seated she continues chatting. "Wolfe is buying, so order up all that you want! Don't be bashful."
The common room - the room you're in now - is filled with locals nursing mugs of ale or cider, all of them eyeing you with curiosity. You spot the barmaid Elsa exchange some words with Wolfe and watch as the halfling approaches them both. You chuckle inwardly - this is going to be good, you think to yourself. Around the room, with your passive perception, you notice the locals talking, gesturing to you, looking at you - nothing hostile. You see a human woman - older than Elsa, could be her mother - maybe older sister, you guess - also taking orders and bringing drinks and food. Another interesting sight - you watch as a young boy - he could be 10 or a bit older - bringing plates and cutlery away from the tables. You notice he takes a few coins for himself and sneaks a sip here and there of whatever alcohol is on the table.
total so far: 6gp, 5sp, 7cp + 3 sp for stew (mau) = 6gp 8sp 7cp An older woman comes over to you as Mau flags her down. "Hi there dearies, I'm Trilena, proprietor of this establishment! You've met my husband, Toblen. That's our son, Pip." She points to the boy collecting the cutlery and dishes from the empty tables. Frowns as she notices something and shakes her head slightly. She looks back and smiles. "It's nice to see new faces!" She takes Mau's order and smiles and is off. It's only a minute or two later when she comes back, steaming stew in hand. "There you are. It's been placed on your tab."
@Krull - You get up and get the boar, shooing the flies and birds away that have been feasting and laying eggs in the corpse's flesh. You haul the dripping carcass into the inn, trailing drops of blood behind you. You bring it up to the bar. Toblen does a double take before his face scrunches up in horror. He nervously looks to his customers, who are whispering and giggling. He laughs nervously. He keeps a smile as he says, "What in the 9 hells are you doing with that dead body in here?!! Dripping blood and guts all over me floor?! What is wrong with you, you walking tree trunk?! Take it the hell out back or you'll be sleeping in the sty at Alderleafs!!! Now!" He looks at the other patrons and does a small laugh and shrug, pointing to his head and doing a "crazy" gesture.
@Edryd - you find your way to Edermath orchard. On the way, you notice a few glares and some rough looking characters, but no one bothers you. You pass a shrine of some sort before heading across the town green to the orchard. It's easy to find - if the sight of the trees didn't lead you, the smell certainly would have. As you approach the cottage next to the orchard, you see a fit, silver-haired male loading some crates of apples into a wagon. As you approach, he sniffs the air and looks around. Upon seeing you, he raises his hand and walks towards you. "Greetings! I am Daran Edermath. What brings you to my humble grove? Would you care for some apple cider? Apple pies, perhaps?" He extends a hand, his eyes serious. With your passive insight, you intuit that not shaking his hand could be an insult...
After having a bit more of conversation with those still left at the table, going through the days events, praising the others actions in the goblin cave, Wolfe would pay the tab and bid them all goodnight, trusting Rabbit to not sneak away from the Inn. He then ascends the stairs for his bath, hopefully some information on the Redbrands and eventually sleep.
(Will deduct coins as soon as the tab is final :-)
When Trilena comes over, Rabbit gives her a smile. "Very nice to meet you. Wonderful place you have here." She looks over toward Pip as she mentions him. She watches him with a grin, having seen his exploits a bit earlier. "He seems like a good boy," she observes. "Doing a fine job for a young guy."
After the woman brings Mau his order she sits back, nursing the applejack she's drinking. She chats with the tabaxi as he eats and observes the antics of the rest of the party. "Quite the interesting group we have. Suppose we'll all go our own ways now that we got the cart here." She pauses to take a sip of her drink. "Well, assuming Sildar pays up for that." She still sounds skeptical about it actually happening.
"u find me in a good mood ...I don't like calling me a walking tree..I will take my boar and I will sleep somewhere else..I don't need your civilised establishment "
he goes back and leaves the boar at the cart and heads back in to his companions "I will bid you goodnight ladies and gentlemen..i will sleep elsewhere since that shortie owner tried to make me look stupid..I ll try to be how you say it..polish (means polite) ?"
"You do as you wish of course Krull. Might I suggest you join Edryd at the Edermath orchard, and see you back here for breakfast I hope. And Krull, good work today and don't bother with the polish, it won't help you much against goblins and bugbears." Wolfe says to the goliath as he's about to leave the inn. "Do you think we can get a refund on all the unused rooms?" he says with a smile at Mau and Rabbit.
Edryd walks through the village taking note of the ruffians trying remember their faces in case thier patches should cross again.
When he gets to the orchard he is very pleased by the welcoming smell and pleasant man. Edryd smiles revealing his dirty and rotting teeth. "Names.... why does everyone keep asking for my name..." He mutters under his breath. He then greets the man trying to return the warmth he was offered, "I am called Edryd, a priest of Selune here to purge fear from the darkness and bring the glory of moonlight to your village."
When the man extends his hand Edryd steps back for the briefest moment but realizing his social gaff he quickly cleans his dirty hand in his beard and will shake the man's hand. "I come here for a place to rest and gaze upon my lady's glory." He winces a bit at the touch, his hands are rough but he tries to convey strength through the grasp. "Could you spare a corner of your land that I might be able to lie my head and gaze to the heavens?" There is a hint of longing in his voice. "As you see I don't have much but I can offer the blessing of Selune to aid you in your task I would also be happy to help you finish your work shouldbthat be of use."
If the man accepts his blessing Edryd will cast Guidance on him with a light touch on the shoulder. He is happy to help with any labor if asked.

Wolfe, you go up for your bath when Pip signals it's ready. The bath is a glorified but large wooden bucket. The water is fairly hot and Pip knocks as you're getting undressed and ready for the bath, coming in with the last two buckets of steaming hot water, straining under the weight of it. "Here you are mister. Enjoy." He looks wide-eyed at your armor and weapons and closes the door afterwards. After a while, the door opens and Elsa comes in. She sees you begin to say something but shushes you. She whispers, "Listen mister. The Redbrands are trouble. My father is scared of 'em. Thal Dendrar, a local woodcarver, stood up to them about a ten day ago when they came by his shop and leered at his wife. The ruffians murdered him. Several townsfolk saw it happen. The Redbrands grabbed his body, and now his wife, daughter, and son have gone missing too. The town master hasn't done anything! I can't think about it, I can't say anything more - I don't know what I'd do if they did that to my ma and pa - or even the Stonehills! Maybe you and your friends can stand up to them?" She looks a bit coy, "I suppose I'd be very grateful..." She lets the thought hang before a shout is heard. "Gotta go. Think about it mister. There's lots of people here to talk to and none of 'em like those thugs." She discretely opens the door, looks appraisingly at you in the tub, and leaves.

Krull, as you walk off, Trilena comes over to Toblen. They exchange some heated words and Toblen frowns. He hops down from the bar, runs around it, and heads out the door after Krull. As he catches up with you Krull, he says, "Listen you dumb ox, ye can't just be comin' in to the inn with a bloody, dripping, body like that! Me wife says I ain't good at talkin' nice, so I'm sorry fer that. A course we can cook it up fer ya, fer a fee or a cut of the meat. Don't be bringing that in the common room again! And listen, if ye fancy yerself a hunter, I'll be always be lookin' fer meat for teh stews and pies. Just take it around back and Pip'll settle you up." Toblen shakes his head at you. He glances at the wagon of supplies and looks at you. "This yers? Say, it ain't be bein' my business, but you don't wanna leave that out here loaded up. Some might be thinkin' it's free fer the takin'." He gives you a last nod and heads back in.

Daran pulls back for a second at your teeth but relaxes when he hears you talk of Selune. "Ahh, a follower of She Who Guides! Glory of the moonlight eh?" He chuckles low. "Well, glory to her then, just as long as she still lets her children out while she sleeps - my orchard needs them!" He looks thoughtful as he considers your request. He nods. "Fair enough, traveler. Finish loading these crates for me and secure the wagon, and you can sleep here in the orchard if you wish. Been a while since anyone's stopped by, it'd be nice to hear some news at least." He pulls back as he sees your intention, and his hand drops to a large knife. He relaxes when he hears the syllables. "No, no. None of that now. She might have created the goddess of magic but your lady also values honest work done in the waning light." He looks seriously at you. "No magic, sir. If you can abide then you're welcome here." He waits for your answer.
"like I said I am in a good mood..your wife is wise..listen more to her..anyways I accept both your offer and apology..normally I wouldn't..where I am coming from when someone rejects your gift ..means insult..and usually isn't going well..but I am trying to learn how to be more civilised "
He then tries to brings the boar around like he told him and ask Pip to help him settle..
"Looking forward to that gratitude then." Wolfe says smiling as Elsa have left. He ponders what she said a while before finishing up his bath and readies himself for night, somehow a bit restless still.
Edryd nods and smiles, "Agree, no magic then. Our Lady would not force you to accept her light but perhaps someday you will be guided to her arms." Edryd smiles warmly as he gets to work with the man.
While they work Edryd would tell him of the journey to the settlement and thier encounter with the goblins. He would spare no detail and after finishing his tale he says, "It seems there is no shortage of trouble in these parts. One of ours is still missing. A dwarf named Gundren. We believe he may be in peril, a hostage of the Cragmaws if that means anything to you. We are to find someone named Albrek in the morning."

Daran nods at your tale, listening intently to the goblin encounter, nodding grimly. "Hm. Bastards. Didn't count on all you did they?! Reminds me of a different time,"Daran flexes his arms and stares off. "Can't say I heard anything about these Cragmaws or any Albrek either. But I know Gundren and his brothers, tough pieces of work they are." You notice he is lithe and agile, and could probably still fight. You note the slight sharpness of his ears - elf blood, clearly. "Well, should be easier to clear them out...you think you'll go back and finish what you started? Or is your group the strict mercenary types?"he asks, a little glint in his eye. "Either way, we have enough problems here. The Redbrands are causing trouble, someone needs to stand up to them, teach them all a lesson! If only I were much younger, Edryd...They and their leader, Glasstaff, are a plague on this town. They lounge around the SLeeping Giant all day and desecrate the mansion by night. Bunch of thugs is what they are." He shakes his head. "As if that weren't enough, I've been hearing some disturbing news from prospectors in the hills northeast of here, near Old Owl Well. They say that something fell is going on there, and there are undead about, chasing off or attacking any who approach." Daran leans close. "Now I don't know you or your group well, but if you're looking for coin or adventure, or want to see some justice meted out to those who deserve it, well...." He lets the words hang in silence.
You get the sense that this information might be useful to your group.

Reminds me of a different time," Daran flexes his arms and stares off. Or is your group the strict mercenary types?" he asks, a little glint in his eye.
Bunch of thugs is what they are."
He shakes his head.

As other head off to their rooms or to find rest elsewhere, Rabbit continues to hang out at the table. She manages to make the one glass of her drink last for hours. She'll talk with whoever is there, otherwise she just watches the others moving about the place. Once all the rest of the group has headed off to their rooms she will head back to hers and quickly get to sleep.

(OOC - So you are suggesting that we just abandoned the cart in the road out front of the Inn? Note that this comment was only directed to Krull. So, if he doesn't say something none of the rest of us know about this.)
