"I'll be at a slight disadvantage, but catching their reinforments at the Sleeping Giant drunk and off balance out weights the disadvantage. I am sure some of these red brands are human as well so this manor should have torches. If not Torm has blessed me with the ability to make light." Putting a hand on Grzak's back, "easy my friend we are few against many, rash action will not avail us. There will be time for action soon."
The party heads up to their respective rooms, and rest until late in the night (Time for both a long and short rest, if you have any need for both). You all come down about an hour before midnight to finalize your plan and put it into motion. Alarion has a near-invisible mist coalesced around his body, forming armor of sorts, and Celeireth walks by his side. "We need a plan to complete this strike as efficiently and painlessly as possible. The secret entrance should help, of course, but we should come up with more."
As we are getting closer to the hideout... Emboldening Bond As an action, you choose up to 2 willing creatures within 30 ft. of you, creating a magical bond among them for 10 minutes or until you use this feature again. While any bonded creature is within 30 ft. of another, once per turn, they can roll a d4 and add it to an attack roll, an ability check, or a saving
"Looks like it will be a dark night. Selune is waning, so we should have a easier time sneaking in. As for our plans, I believe we need try and find this glass staff, and capture him? With him in custody I am hopeing these red brands will leave town." Gabriel looks around, "has anyone seen Cringer?"
You approach the Alderleaf farm, where Alarion leads the group a little ways into the woods to a dirt tunnel. "This is the hidden entrance to the hideout, and one they won't expect us to use. There is no light inside, but I would suggest one of us simply lead Gabriel by hand rather than risk detection," he says.
Grzak’s breathing becomes quicker and he stretches and flexes most of his muscles as he anticipates cleaving into bandits. While his hands grip and relax along the shaft of his great axe, he bites into his upper lip with one of his lower tusks, not enough to draw blood, but enough to reacquaint himself with pain, his long-time companion. He steps away from the party and flourishes his great axe in graceful, vicious, deadly arcs. Satisfied with his readiness, he steps back to the party.
”I’ll go first. Gabriel can hold onto this strap from my backpack.”
He turns and addresses Gabriel directly, “You let go, if I tell you to, ok? And keep your talky sword nearby.”
Gabriel nods, and grabs one of Grzak's straps. "I am read my friend. Lead on." Before we go in Garbeil cast the spell of light on the blade of his sword, then resheaths the Mighty V. "The sheath will hide then light, but as soon as I draw it I will be ready."
Alarion follows next, partly in hopes that Gabriel and Kathrine's armor will somewhat shield him from any ambushes, causing the cleric to take the rear. The group walks quietly down the tunnel for about a minute, emerging in a large cavern. A crevasse divides the cavern and is flanked by two rough stone columns that support the twenty-foot-high ceiling. Two arched wooden bridges span the chasm.
Grzak and Kathrine notice
A quiet murmuring and mumbling, coming from near the closer pillar.
Gabriel feels an intrusive brush against his mind, but it retreats after a moment. Alarion whispers to him "Did you feel that telepathic contact as well? It seemed to recoil the second it touched my mind, though."
Grzak sniffs - and smells nothing but a suddenly overpowering odor of rotting flesh. All of you hear a cackling sound - then realize you didn't hear it, you thought it.
Grzak’s low growl is cut short by the shocking and confusing “noise” in his head. He furrows his brow and shakes his head in an effort to clear it from the uninvited presence. He lowers his stance by bending his knees and readies his great axe while shifting his eyes left and right, looking for any motion in front of him.

As we are getting closer to the hideout...
Emboldening Bond
As an action, you choose up to 2 willing creatures within 30 ft. of you, creating a magical bond among them for 10 minutes or until you use this feature again. She would use this on Gabriel and Grzak.
(Are we keeping Cringerin this. Didn't wish to assume he was still here. If he is I can definitely bring him back in and add him to the campaign.)
(Up to you. I wasn't sure if you kept and wanted to keep playing the character. )
(I think I'd prefer to just leave him gone, but will bring him back if others feel he is still needed.)
Grzak will miss Cringer and hopes he finds his way back to the hideout.

"Something is by the pillar there." Kathrine says, gesturing towards the pillar she hears the sounds coming from near.
"I did," Gabriel whispers back. He rests his hand on the hilt of his sword, ready to draw it.
Grzak halts the forward progress and lets out a low guttural growl. Not loud but very deep and animal-like. He’ll raise his nose and sniff the air.

Alarion's hand rests on his wand as the group stops.
(Perception please, Grzak)
"Be on your guard," Alarion whispers. "We aren't alone."
