Several barrels are stored against the walls here, along with a number of empty crates, straw for packing, hammers, pry bars, and nails. Kathrine notices
two doors carved to blend in with the walls, one to the southwest (right next to where they enter) and the other to the northeast.
Kathrine pauses, looking to her companions. "There are two doors here, both made to look like part of the wall." She points them out to the others. "I'd suggest to look at the one near where we entered this chamber, to clear things as we move along, but I will defer to the rest of you, who likely have better tactical sense than I do..."
Grzak tries to determine where the seams to the door are and ascertain the possible location of hinges. Then he will apply force gradually ramping up the effort to hopefully cause the door to “give” in a controlled and quiet manner.
The door easily and silently swings open into a small corridor where it appears a staircase once was. Across the 5-foot wide hall is another door, likely hidden from the opposite side as well.
The door opens into a bedchamber whose walls are covered with drapes of scarlet cloth. The furnishings include a small writing desk with matching chair, a comfortable-looking bed, and a wooden chest at the foot of the bed. Sitting at the desk is a short, dark-bearded human male in robes, studying a tome. He wears a princely mantle of ermine. A beautiful glass staff leans against his chair, within easy reach. He looks up at the noise. "Ah, I see I have...unexpected guests."
He reaches over to grab his staff. "You may call me Glasstaff. I apologize that I cannot provide suitable...entertainment for you. I know you just arrived, but I really must request that you leave."
Kathrine, finding them not immediately set upon, steps inside the chamber as well. She gives a short curtsy to the seated man, her eyes sweeping over him and the staff next to him. "Glassstaff I presume?" She asks with a raised eyebrow. "We have come looking to rid the town of the redbrand thugs that are causing them troubles. As you are their leader, I ask that you surrender and allow us to take you in for the local leaders to decide how to deal with you." She glances as the rest of her companions come inside. "We did tell the creature from the ravine chamber we would allow him to have anyone who did not surrender though, so that should be kept in mind as well."

"I have little tactical education either, but I agree," Alarion says. "That course seems logical."
Grzak says, “Stand back while I check the door.”
He’ll approach it cautiously and place his ear to the “wall” to see if he hears anything beyond.

He hears nothing beyond the door, though the wall does appear to be thick stone, so it could be difficult to hear any noise.
“I hear nothing. Do you want me to try and force it?” Grzak looks back to the party.

Gabriel rests his hand on the hilt of his sword, turns off his light spell anything on the other side would see the light he assumes.
Kathrine steps back as the others move to open the door. She will allow them to enter first, but is ready to follow them in as soon as possible.

"Is it safe to cast light again?" Garbiel whispers
Grzak will let someone else strategorize whether light is a good idea or not as he quietly listens through the new door.

He hears a quiet bubbling noise from beyond the door.
“There’s a bubbling noise on the other side. Leave out that light and I’ll open this door.” Grzak whispers.
Grzak opens the door at first slowly, but is ready to rush in if an enemy can be surprised.

(I assume there is light in that room since he is human)

"Surrender?" He laughs. "I'm afraid not, madam." He flicks the staff, and a shimmering field appears around his body.
