Looking to the others as he blinks his large perceptive eyes, the small owl says,"I am Otheym by the way. We should likely know each others names if we are to be working together."He then walks over towards the parchment that he sees flapping in the wind and reaches his feathered arm under to pluck at it to see what it shows.
While reading, Otheym also thinks back to anything he can recall about the Sun god they just met that might help them. Any common enemies, his ‘rank’ in their Parthenon… religion 23
You recall that the name of the Sun god is Cathall. He is the god of good fortune, the sun, and prosperity. You remember that his priests are known for their lavish clothing and dedication to their god. Catchall enemy was the natural darkness found in evil souls and the dark god Anthen, god of hatred and deceit.
The paper you picked up however was a crudely outdated map. The map obviously has seen worse days and some of the ink around the edges was faded but the city name was evident. "Patchellin" it read.

Odessa wanders over to inspect the golden basin that caught her eye. As she looks over it, the soft glow of the amber liquid inside reflects a warm glow on her pale face with its smattering of freckles. She looks over the basin trying to ascertain how it is used. ((investigation or religion: 9))
"I think that is a most reasonable way to start," Odessa says, her voice thick and groggy with the morning. She yawns into her sleeve and clears her throat a bit. "Thank you Otheym. I am Odessa, and," she glances back down at the basin, "..... not particularly religious. Hopefully, that isn't too disadvantageous to this little job we've been lumped into together." The elf gave a self-depreciated smirk and lifted an eyebrow.
All she see's is herself in the amber liquid. The sun hits the basin at the right angle and she see's a indent at the bottom of the basin and beneath the liquid. The indent is in the shape of a sun.

“It seems we are now Patchellin.” Otheym says calmly as he walks towards the door to see what is outside. Once at the door he opens his robes and spreads his arms wide, now showing everyone that they are in fact wings, and revealing his appearance for the first time. Placing his spear on his back in a small leather sheath and leaps straight into the air to get a layout for the town and surrounding area, both to compare it with the general layout of the map, but also just to see what else is around.
"I am Magnus Mordenson. It is a pleasure to meet you all,"

I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past, I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone, there will be nothing. Only I will remain.
Wyatt, having been looking at the colorful windows the entire time, snaps out of it. "Those are nice windows! I like the random colors!" He turns to the rest of the party. "I'm Wyatt Pridesoar, everyone!"

he see's that the kingdom is made out of 26 homes and shops. All are made out of sandstone. A fountain sits in the center of the town. What's creepy is there is no one in the streets.

After flying up and having a quick look around, he closes his wings and drops like a stone, only stopping himself a few feet from the ground in a kind of superhero landing and reports what he’s seen. Saying with little emotion, “The town is devoid of life. Though it was not large to begin with, little more than a score of homes and shops, there absolute quiet of everything is a bit unsettling. Has the plague been through here perhaps?“

Odessa follows the others out of the front door of the church into the early morning heat. She watches as Otheym glides on high above the town for a beat. "Canthall, the Sun God, said something curious. That Illthya is a 'dark name' that referenced a massive plague before the age of gods. Are any of you familiar with that story?" ((History: 9))

"Either it has already gone through, or people are scared and holed up. If it is current or recent, I would expect diseased bodies piled up or a pyre to burn the diseased. Did you see any smoke from up there, Otheym?"
"At any rate, we can start by seeking this Paige out," Odessa flipped the hood on her cloak over her head to keep the punishing sun off her pale face.
Following Odessa, Wyatt looks around for something fun to do. "Not sure, let me think."
History: 14
He knows a bit.
The story goes as such...
once upon a time, there were twin children. One was bright and kind the other was dark and broody. the Sunny was loved by all his fiends, the Broody felt jealously and anger towards his twin for not being equally loved. He created a poison out of moon dust and his own blood and set it free. It killed off everyone in its wake. as the Bright twin Died he saw his brother dying along with him. In his final breath, he told his twin "I forgive you, because me and you need each other. Just like how the sun needs the moon".
The first twins soul rose into the sky, praised for it loyalty and beauty and turned into the sun that we know today. The Dark twins soul was turned into the Moon but also the darkness that we fear.

Odessa glances at the child as they speak, and then looks to each of the others to garner which of the adults seems to claim this precocious one.
He chuckles. "If you're looking for my parent or parents, you better look in the ground, miss."
Odessa snaps her head back to the child as he speaks to her. The question she wishes to ask marinates in her mouth a moment, and she tilts her head to observe the child closer. "With whom do you travel then?" Odessa's speech thus far is emitted in flat tone, as if the pauses she takes before speaking are meant to wash her words of any emotion.
After finally recalling the story, Wyatt jumps to in front of everyone. "Alright, listen up, I just remembered the story, it goes like this..." He clears his throat and told the story very dramatically.

Odessa stares at Wyatt, a turmoil of thoughts swirling behind her pale blue eyes. Unable to properly sanitize her response, she mumbles in another language, looks disgusted, and continues to follow the others toward what she assumes is the Westside Tavern and their contact.
In Giant she curses colorfully under her breath, "What god is selfish enough to ensnare a mere child into their games?"

They reach the different colored store, it seems to stick out like a sore thumb. It is painted brown, green, and blue instead of the normal sandstone color.

Tanbright observes what is going on in silent reflection. This is not what she expected, but is determined to do her duty. She looks at the child with a raised eyebrow and pursed lips but says nothing after the exchange between him and Odessa, and decides not to comment, having little experience with children and not sure what to do with an urchin.
As Otheym lands she clears her throat.
“My name is Tanbright Galanodel. I am a cleric of life. I presume I have been called to help you all clear this land of the plague.”
She cocks her head and her brows furrow at Otheym’s description of the town and question about the plague.
“That would be…concerning. An entire town gone? And is the disease still around? Perhaps we should quickly find this inn.”
She goes with the others to the inn and stops to peer at the garish building.
