I'm looking for 1-2 players to join my current Curse of Strahd campaign.
There's currently three players
- Blood Hunter, Monk, and a Rogue. There are also four NPCs with the group (Cleric, Ranger, Paladin, and Ez).
- Anything goes in terms of races and classes. Anything official from WOTC. If you have a homebrew subclass you want to use from D&D Beyond's Homebrew session, let me know and shoot me a link to its source. Given this is Barovia, you can come from anywhere. Everyone is currently at Level 5.
- It's a Curse of Strahd game, so there's going to be horror elements to it. I've also added some homebrew lore. One examples is that Rose and Thorn, the children from the Death House, are alive and traveling with the group.
So far the group has met their ally (Ez) and they just retrieved the Symbol of Ravenkind.
Things I'm looking for - it's D&D so it's supposed to be fun. Combat is going to be theater of the mind with some map layouts. No racism, homophobia, etc. No telling other players how to play their characters.
So what I need from you.

Race and Class (Subclass): Scourage Aasimar | Paladin (Oath of Devotion)
Background: Acolyte
Backstory: Raphael was born into the church of Pelor and raised to be a paladin. For the most part his job was to ensure the safe passage of clerics and other holy ones of his diety between cities and towns. He would also be assigned to investigate cases that seems of potential interest to the church. While on a mission to escort a group of clergy he became separated by a deep fog and found himself lost.
Background: Guild Artisan (Going to say it is a gun Smith as his trade.)
Background: Frin comes from a long line of smith's and inventors, that live in a mountain range along side their longtime allies the Brungir clan of mountain dwarves. With the knowledge of both races put together the area became well known for all sorts of masterful craftsman and all sorts of unique weapons, armor and other items. For his own part, Frin took up smithing, starting with swords but moving to firearms after finding them interesting to a fault. With a lot of trial and error he built his own guns and set about testing them.
Due to the caves and burrows of his family not being the ideal place to test guns, Frin set out on his own to test and possibly learn more techniques to improve his skills. Due to the dangers of traveling Frin eventually had to use his guns for more then just target practice, fighting off wildlife and the occasional marauder that challenged him. After a while he found a nice town to set up shop in, making his way as a gunsmith or by doing the occasional odd tinkering or mercenary job to buy better equipment. This was his way of life for several years, building up his shop and hiring on a few apprentices.
One day he would feel the urge to leave once more though as he came across a gun from a forgein land. Feeling a sudden spark of curiosity and adventure calling him, Frin grabbed his guns and left his lead apprentice in charge before disappearing in the night. Finding it easier to travel with a group he joined up with a caravan as both a guard and a handy man if needed. One night during a storm, Frin was separated and left wondering through a heavy fog, coming out in a strange land.

Ability scores: 11111717139
Name: Robin Race and Class (Subclass): Custom Lineage Artificer 1 X Wizard 4 (chronomancer) Background: Strixhaven Initiate Backstory:
Having completed a few years at Strixhaven, Robin was traveling home, between school years, when the mists claimed her. she found herself in the realm of Strahd, and trapped there. She has sought a way out of this cursed land, but to no avail.
Keldon was just a logger at one point, and not a very bright one at that. It’s probably what made him an easy target for the vampire. He never saw much of the creature, but it attacked, it bit, and Keldon has been changed ever since. Not fully vampiric, miraculously. He hopes he can go back to being an ordinary man one day, believing the only way to do that is to try to find and kill the vampire that did this to him. Still… he’s not really sure how to manage that. So he keeps an eye out for anyone who might help him.
Backstory: Heracles was minding his own business, enjoying a challenging read in the Fey Wild, in that mental space where the subjects of arcana and religion meet, while laying in a field of poppy blossoms and summer breeze, the scent of the morning dew evaporating off the valley below rising into his nostrils. He pondered the different between duty and curiosity, power used to serve and power used to prepare. Was fear but an instigation of a call to joy? Was sobriety but the valley between drunken evenings of laughter and tears?
he fell asleep on that idyllic morning only to awake on the other side of the cosmos, in a darkened world he knew little of. His skin shuttered under his fur, and the insulating layers of his covering thickened to the chill that permeated this air. This would be home for the foreseeable future, and so he strolled down the dirt road that lay in front of him, not knowing where it would take him, or what troubles and jubilations would be encountered along the way.
build: Support/buff/debuff and battlefield control
rp: deals quickly with the bad in order to encourage everyone to find joy in life, even during the darkest times. Super curious to learn and improve his connection to all things magic and mystical.
Class & planned subclass: Cleric (2) and Rogue (3)
Background: Far Traveler
Short backstory that makes sense with the lore above. (ask for more details if needed):
Cranan was a gravedigger at one point, a job no one wants but for the miserables. Maybe due to luck, or the fact that he didn't need much sleep, he never saw a vampire, or the horrible undead that threaten his life. A friar decided a sharp-eyed Eladrin could an asset to the temple and allowed him to stay in the temple, he learnt knowledge of funeral ceremonial and how to deal with the occasionally presence of the undead.
On a trip to a funeral service deep in the woods, something horribly went wrong in the ceremony. All attendance, including the priest and acolyte from the temple, transformed into undead. Cranan ran for his life and barely escaped, his life has been changed ever since.
Cranan move from town to town, he dig up treasures from the dead, or steal from the common townsfolk to make a living. Sometimes he succeeded, but mostly he was chased, either by the awakened guards, or the awakened dead bodies. He would have die a hundred time without Fey Step. He wish to find companion to end this miserable way of living.
Race and Class (Subclass): Half-Drow Sor-Lock (Shadow Magic / Hexblade)
Background: Far Traveller
Backstory: Human Sorcerer Mother / Drow Father. Grew up in Underdark. To unlock the power passed on from his mother, Xander made a deal with a dark entity.
