Naomi opens her eyes slightly. She turns her head to see Sariel and Thastram talking. Naomi scooches over to grab one of her scarves. Though not before some of her jewelry falls off her trunk with a few clanks. She quickly put them between her scarves. She then scooches back over to her sleeping bag. Her ears felt as cold as snow. She ties the scarf over her head and around her ears, almost like a babushka. She then tries to go back to sleep.
“Come to think,” Though Thastrem. “I don’t know what brought you guys to the company. Care to share so we aren’t journeying in utter silence?” Naomi, where do you come from? Sariel, what did you do before you went to Neverwinter? Felix, where did you study? Eion, how did you meet Sildar?”
"Who, me?" He asked, still driving. "I studied in a Monastery over at Brook Nook, a small town to the south. Parents put me there to help curb my impulsive nature. It helped, a little. But, I wanted to explore this world, to see it's wonders. Maybe even the other planes, if I'm lucky. So, I got permission from the monastery master to go out and see the world...by the way. What kind of food do you specialize in cooking, Thastrem? I'm afraid food is a bit of a weakness for me."
Even though Sariel wanted to try to sleep she did want to put her companions mind at ease as much as possible. I read a notice for this job and decided I needed a bit more gold to my name. I'm a half elf which is why I confused myself earlier. If I have to share something I'm gonna share the happy fact that I loved someone who didn't love me. End.Of Story. However I do try to be as happy as I can be now because why bother being unhappy due to one person?
Eion kept his eyes to their surroundings. "I'm just a bit of a traveller with a knack for forests and a bow. As for Sildar? Well I did odd jobs here and there. Retrieve this, kill that, find my long lost hawk down this dark cave. Thats a funny story for another time. That kind of stuff. Well when I met Sildar he was putting together a party just like us to clear out this wealthy family's tomb that had a group of goblins who took up shop. Sounded easy enough, Sildar, myself and two others went in to deal with the small tribe of them, except here's the funny part. The guy who hired us lied about it being just goblins, it was a lich who was raising the undead in that tomb to find some magical artifact that belonged to his family and get revenge on the guy who hired us. Long story short, when the lich noticed us and threatened to skin us alive and then just bring us back, Sildar and I convinced the lich that we'd be far more useful alive to try and bring the guy the lich was after back to the tomb saying everything was dealt with. Well the two of us left the cave, asked ourselves if we could really imagine going back in there, and then went on our merry way. We haven't been back since to check in on that. Ah good times."
Naomi rolls over, listening in on the conversation. Eion met a lich? I need to get more info on this when possible! This would be a great opportunity to learn about these creatures, Naomi thinks to herself.
"Yeah Sildar and I didn't exactly think that part through. We were more on the "holy crap we convinced a lich to let us live" ship at the time and just skipped town. Besides, anything that Lich can do to him is far worse than what I could do." Eion explained.
Eion told tales of his and Sildar’s exploits from their time in the field to the work they did for the Waterdeep guard. The hours flew by as they all in turn began to share stories.

After a long time the party began to near the turnoff. Along the way a strange beggar on the other side of the road stumbled toward them. “Pardon me strangers,” he beckoned.
"I only have food to offer," he said, pulling out a piece of his rations from his pack and tossing it to him. "I welcome you, personally, to come along, but we'd be on the road for a long while before we reach the next civilization. Also, I cannot speak for the others here."
Felix turns towards the others.
"What say you, companions? I myself welcome him, but what about you?"
Sariel will wake up as Felix speaks aloud to everyone.

"I'm no one special. Just on my way to Neverwinter, trying to avoid the winter cold before the frost reaches south. I was hoping to find legitimate work up north."
"I wouldn't mind another person travelling along. Could always hunt in the nearby forest for some food. Was there anything in particular you needed traveller?
Sariel looks intently at the old man. He was getting a bit long in the tooth but he still had a sturdy frame. In his hands, he held a walking staff and had long grey hair complete with a trimmed grey beard. His travel worn clothes were covered in dust and possessed some torn to suggest he hadn't worn anything else in years. He guarded his true reasons for traveling to Neverwinter with nervous apprehension.
"Just food and some safe rest for the night." Everyone finally began to notice how late it was getting and chose to make camp for the night. To ensure that no one passed them on the road with ill intent, the party and the old beggar left the trail to find a safe campsite. The party decided to make camp on the beach to the west of the road. The coast was closer than the forest and the hill would offer cover from prying eyes. They built a fire and ate from their rations.

Sariel will now go to sleep.

Eion took out his bow. "I'll make sure any bandits or monsters keep the noise level down" he said with a grin to Sariel.

Felix, who was about to ask someone to switch with him, saw the old beggar on the road and pulled the carriage to a stop, nodding to the old man.
"What seems to be the problem, sir?" He asked.
“Might an old man trouble you for a little charity?” Cried the old beggar.
"I only have food to offer," he said, pulling out a piece of his rations from his pack and tossing it to him. "I welcome you, personally, to come along, but we'd be on the road for a long while before we reach the next civilization. Also, I cannot speak for the others here."
