Buford approaches the group. "Excuse me brother, I could not help but overhear. I too came in search of this temple after spending some time with the Order of the Shooting Star. I have not made it there yet, perhaps that is for the best. Do you have any suggestions about how to figure out what is happening?"
The Mystran priest nods, saying,“Well, yes. When I ran...they chased me! Why would they do that? Someone on the temple walls fired arrows at me! But I escaped. What in the Nine Hells is going on in there? I need to find out, or failing that, go to the nearest legitimate temple of Mystra and ask for aid. But now you’re here. Can you help me?”
Kelmaer thinks for a moment then says, "I'm at the Mother's service, good Priest Dranik, so I suppose that means I'm at yours as well, as long as you truly serve her.".
Atoll would smile back at these strangers starting to crowd the table. "Appriciated, Flaeirn. Well, right on queue. We have more." He outstretched his arms to showcase the new allies.
Tunaster nods. "Yes, the more the merrier." He pauses to take in all the faces. "Look, as I've said, I wander a lot and I've met more than a few adventurers in my time," he says, digging under his robes. "I don't expect you to place your lives in harm's way without a little investment."He drops a sack of coins on the table. "Here be 50 platinum. Discern if anything nefarious is happening at this so-called temple and then diffuse that trouble, and I'll have another 1,500 gold for your troubles."
"Probably doesn't make much sense for us to charge in blindly. Any thoughts on where we might start to search for information on the new temple and its denizens?"
“S’well as the arrows, about how many of them were there that had weapons at least?” Flaeirn says, before lowering his voice a bit so that only those nearby could hear and talking to Dranik. “Trust your gut mate, and I would recommend you stay real low. If they were willing to shoot ya, we’ll I wouldn’t say it’s a good idea to be out drinkin.” Flaeirn says, backing up next to the rest of the group.

Tunaster looks to Seeker Atoll. "Sorry, my dear boy, I did not stop to gather the evidence," he says. "I was afraid for my life."To others, he responds. "I've been watching the temple from afar ever since and talking to people who come and go. To your point, yes, there are armed guards, but no more than any temple, I'd say. The courtyard is open and accessible to the public. By day, you can usually find a handful of people milling about. The temple holds nightly services in the courtyard from dusk to about an hour before midnight. There is usually a small crowd there taking it in." He stops to take a drink from his goblet, frowning a bit as it appears empty. "As far as where to start, I'd suggest a visit. You are not known to them as I am. You also could visit the town guard. I did make a report, but they did not seem too interested; however, I was assured by Constal Tholl upon follow-up that the Purple Dragons did make inquiries. I believe it to have been a cursory check. I sensed his reluctance to dig deeper into the matter. The temple, you see, has been a bit of a financial boon for the city's coffers."
Kelmaer glances at the other adventurers waiting for one to take the lead .... and the pouch of coins, knowing that his own youthful appearance will often inhibit others taking him seriously.
Tunaster smiles at last, this time it looks genuine. "I appreciate you," he says. "I will leave word with the halfling of how to get into contact with me,"he adds, motioning toward the flamboyantly dressed server. "If you need me or have pertinent information, tell him and he will let me know. For now, I feel I've overstayed my welcome. I will go into hiding for a bit."
He stands, leaving the bag of coins on the table. "One other thing I've noticed. Some people enter the temple late in the evening, toward the ends of the nightly services, but no matter how late I wait, I never see them exit,"he says. "Could be they've joined. I do not know. I beg of you to be alert, be careful and be smart."
Seeker would do a head-count on his new allies. "So, with the coin given us, I would suggest gathering some information first at the temple or even with the purple knights and use the coin to make purchases to capture or neutralize whatever plagues the temple. Sound like a fair idea?" He'd bow his head to his new employer and stand joining his new friends.

"So you think something is amiss here, but you don't have a lot of information about what is happening." Colleen says with concern.
She wonders to herself if this is connected the other matter she needs to address here.

"I am in."
"Shame, but I do understand. And I'm more than happy to accept this quest for you."
"Count me in friend." Flaeirn says with a nod.
