The character I submitted got accepted to a different game so I figured I would re-submit with a new idea...
Character Name: Miesha Breen
Race: Variant Human
Class: Paladin - Oath of Glory
Background: Urban Bounty Hunter
Backstory:
Miesha Breen was enlisted into the army early and took to the training and regiment as if it was second nature. Despite her youth she stood out amongst her peers, there was no denying that she was a born fighter - the pride of the unit, no matter which unit she was in. Miesha herself loved what she did. The physical exertion was a stimulant she couldn't get enough of, the thrill of combat an aphrodisiac to her. She long for more, never satisfied in the battles and skirmishes she found herself in. The only drawback was the accolades... There just wasn't enough. Miesha, and her unit by extension, were the best and they deserved to be recognized as such! Yet all glory went to the generals or the crown itself. Those fat, lazy sods sat well away from the danger and then basked in the glory others earned.
Miesha Breen grew tired of it. She deserved the credit for her deeds, the riches for her accomplishments! When her commanding officer instructed her to sign her re-enlistment papers she scoffed. When he ordered her to do it she laughed in his face. When he ordered the other soldiers to arrest her... They knew her prowess, her skills. The others quickly found other things to be busy doing. Miesha Breen walked away from the army and decided to make a name for herself... Taking jobs when they were available as a bounty hunter or mercenary, making jobs when they weren't by hunting down the biggest and scariest she could find.
Magic Item Points spent on: Molten Bronze Skin, Plate - Wasn't sure if I could upgrade to an armor I couldn't afford this way, and if not I have no qualms about changing. I do like the idea of the one seeking glory being a living bronze goddess though! :D

We're doing one small murder-y thing for a bigger, better reason. The ends justify the means.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.

Character Name: Rokhari
Race: Half-Orc
Class: Fighter (Champion)
Background: Mercenary Veteran
Backstory: Rokhari spent much of her youth as any brawny, unruly half-orc might — offering up her muscle in exchange for coin. She's run with dozens of different crews, fallen in with some unsavory crowds, and gathered more tall tales than she can count. But those days are long behind her. In recent years, her wild streak has finally tempered, and her trusty maul sees more use in training sessions with greenhorn town guards than in battle.
With war on the horizon, however, Rokhari yet again feels that familiar spark. The suit of armor gathering dust in a corner of her humble home begs again to be worn, and her maul yearns for the thrill of combat. She may not be as spry or as powerful as the new crop of adventurers roaming the land that she calls home, but she has plenty of fight in her yet. And if she goes out in a blaze of glory while defending her homeland? Well, an old warrior couldn't ask for better than that.
Thank you everyone for your applications. I have sent out a private message to those who were selected. If you weren't, thank you for your interest and good luck in the future!
