As the cries from the crew and clanking of the undead ring out within the dank cave, Merrick's mind slips back to the Monastery
Master Rhurker had already drank through half the bottle of wine Merrick had gifted him when he got up from the low table and gestured for him to come onto the training grounds. "Do'sh you, " *hic* "know why we'sh train on stone and'sh" *hic* "not surf?" Though his Master's speech was slurred, Merrick understood the question but had no answer that came to mind. Rhurker reached the center of the grounds, turned, and gave a hearty grin, "...It'sh because we'sh know better." *hic*
Master Rhurker's shoulders slooped and his stance loosened. His legs and arms began to sway rhythmically as his torso swelled forward and backward erratically. "Lesshon one. Merrick... You mu'sh flow" *hic* "like'sh wine." Rhurker straighted a palm towards Merrick and gestured him to begin sparring.
Merrick supressed his fear and flowed past his companions, emulating his Master's stance. He poured himself over top of the rocky formations, putting himself nearly into a flank with the others as he spilled wild lashes from the staff and palm.

Quickly reminded of why he tried to avoid fights, Laderan winces as the arrow finds its mark and shallowly pierces his flesh. "Ow! Barely waiting to see it's effect, Laderan darts backwards and tries to use the smaller pillar for additional cover.

The (blue) skeleton's bones sizzle from the magical acid.
Merrick supressed his fear and flowed past his companions, emulating his Master's stance. He poured himself over top of the rocky formations, putting himself nearly into a flank with the others as he spilled wild lashes from the staff and palm. The skeleton raises its shortsword to parry the incoming staff strike, but fails to see the monks fist, which strikes from nowhere and detaches its jawbone.
"Ow! Bloomin pile of bones." Laderan exclaims loudly before again extending his arm, drawing up the sphere and replying with another blast of earthen matter. The blast strikes the skeleton's shoulder and detaches it from its socket. The bone hangs lose, held on by rotting connective tissue, but through the miracle of necromancy is still somehow functional.
Vladimir quickly moves to the (orange) skeleton, holding his shield in readiness and lunging with his sword. The blade stabs through its sternum, breaking the bone!
The skeletons counterattack! The (orange) skeleton brandishes its shortsword, spinning around in seeming confusion before lashing out at the martial artist behind it. The (red) and (blue) skeletons fire more arrows into the chamber at Ashtear and Laderon.
Sayax watches with satisfaction as green crumbles in front of him after being struck by his hammer. Stepping up next to Vladamir in order to target orange, he intends to do it again. With a smile on his face, he again swings his war hammer...
Quickly pressing herself against the rocks, bringing her crossbow up flat sidewas covering her face briefly as the arrows scatter and deflect off the rocks, She realigns her crossbow -briefly pondering switching weapons to her boomerang but disregarding that impulse. Ashtear fires at the acid drenched target. "Damn bones. I have the wrong weapon for skelebutts. "
Rolling through his shoulders in a twirling motion, his feint seemed to have been effective in penetrating the defenses of the skeletons. However, his overextension led to him catching he catches a nick from the shortsword. Spilling back from the pain, he catches himself stumbling over debris on the floor and into earshot of the archers and the cries from their victims.
Dispelling his uncertaintly, he lets his stumble turn into momentum towards the other pair. His arms swaying to-and-fro as his saunters forward, he scooches up into the face of the archers and begins his dance.

Vladimir is frustrated. He scrambled over the fallen bones and detritis of those undead ("filthy things") and ran as fast as he could to catch up with the giantkin. All he could do was run, hoping to disturb the creatures ability to fire at his comrades. He was getting uncomfortably sweaty in his armor, but there was nothing for it. Knowing he would initially be able to put up no defense, he thought it best to go ahead and quaff his potion.

Groaning as he pulls the old arrow through the other side of his shoulder, Oranir holds his wound for a few moments until the bleeding diminishes then stops, it was only a flesh wound after all. His golden robe now darkened by his blood, he moves away from the column and looks at the others, "Well, let's hope this is all Zaldara had for this entrance of her lair. Though I certainly think not..." he looks around at his options again and motions towards the door on the ledge, "Accounting for these rattlers, I'd say these passages definitely looks like the most dangerous path now."
Suddenly, a voice from the darkness whispers with the dry rattle of death and malice. "By mistake or by foolishness, you have come too far. Your soul will be used to feed my endlessness."
Oranir's is startled bt the raspy voice, eyes wide looking at the corners of the room for some incoming doom. He eventually exhales and shakes his head, "What an idea..." as he reaches for the potion hanging from his belt and pops it open, chugging down the contents.
