Vladimir looks about glumly and offers a rag to Sayax to help him clean up. "I suppose that's typical of what we'll find in the caves and dungeons we enter. Can't say I care for it! Do you think we should go through the sea door or the skull door? I think the skull door probably leads to the lich, but it might be a trap. I also wonder what those shining crystals do. Do you think I should throw a rock at them?" If others look like they'd like a rag, Vladimir pulls several he has stuffed in a pocket out to hand to them.
Retrieving the bolts and adding them to her bolt case, in a seperate section to not confuse them. Feeling more confident in having a strong bolt-but less confident over the fact that previous bolt users clearly died. "How are your wounds? That was unexpected. I don't think it worked for the LIch, I think it just preyed on the skeletons? I wonder if these bolts belong to an adventurer or the skeletons?"
Looking around Ashtear calls for a decision. "I don't know what the light means.. but we've got two doors. Tenticles or Death. How do we handle this? Flip a coin?"
21Does the crystals spark any knowledge checks? Mostly I'm worried they're poisonous radiation... ooc.. Nature arcana and history are all +3 so i just added that +3 as its probalby one of those
Oranir scowls as the remnants of the dark blob stop spasming, noddind firmly "Let us hope that is the last Zaldara has to throw at us... let us also know that is probably not the case." he breathes in and briefly looks at Sayax's armor before motioning to the nearby door with his staff, "We will have time for rest and repairs later. Press forward, the lives of the Harpers up above are at stake." and steps in to check the door to the north.
After the attack of the ooze, Sayax takes a bit to collect himself, grateful that the healing potion brought him back to full health. Looking down at his armor, he frowns, "This, this will not do." Listening to Oranir, he brightens a bit, "You, you can repair this? Oh, that would be delightful, thank you! But yes, we must press on, we have a job to do!"
While Ashtear checks out the crystals, he follows Oranir to the North door, ready for whatever he finds as he checks around.
Laderan hops over to Sayax, "Take care bucko, I think you'll be the one most of us are relying on if we take a beating like that. Can't keep us safe if you're pushing up the daisies." He winks and pulls a healing potion out of his pack and offers it to the Dragonborn. "Take it, I'll be safe enough at the back of a fight... usually." He brushes himself off, and takes one of Vladimir's proffered rages, tearing it and using it as a bandage over the arrow wound. Quickly dressed it shouldn't cause any more issues until they could tend to it properly.
Moving over to Ashtear who is examining the strange glow. "Pretty colour, saw lotsa strange glowy things back home. Wotcha wondering?"
The questions abound about which door to proceed through, so the leporine wanderer chips in, "Well, by my reckoning, we are already next to this door, and if the two options are sea monsters or whateer that skull represents, I'd try the sea monster. More chance to run away sine we're on land, sort of."
Vladimir approaches the door as well, standing by Sayax with sword drawn, waiting for whatever awaits them behind. He looks at the dragonborn and smiles forlornly, "I'm rather worried we're going to get even wetter."

"Hold up. We should make sure the door is safe. I cant account for lich magic. But let me check. "
Ashtear lets her crossbow hang as she lights her lantern and examines the door area. Starting from 5dt away she traces the floor sweeping away any dust. Looking for depressions. Runes. Or other markings. Then shines her bullseye lantern on the celing and checks for any creatures or mechanics. Runes and the like above. "Someone keep an eye for me. And hold the lantern for me"
From there she will approach but not touch the door. Visually inspecting the seams and edges of the door frame then the kraken sculpture.
Finally she will run her fingers along the seams and work her way in. The sculpture for last examination.

Merrick shucked his arms to expel the remaining goo. Though it did not cause him any pain, his arms were quite tingly. Moreso, there was a very peculiar smell emanating from them as well. He strode closer to Sayax's lighted hammer and brought up his forearm to his eyes. Thanks to the light, Merrick now noticed that the hair on his forearms were slowly burning away as if like a lit fuse to a powder keg.
"EEEAAHHHpfhthttt....!" Merrick began to shout and reflexively slapped his hand to his face to conceal the noise. He wiggled his arm violently as if a thousand spiders were crawling on it at once while muffling his scream. He switched to the other arm and began the process of shaking it anew, and this continued for 3 more cycles.
After the third cycle, Merrick brushed off his tunic, heaved a sigh of relief, and looked up into the confused stares from around the party. A sheepish grin overtook him as he embarrassed gripped his staff into a ready position for whatever the others would find behind the Kraken door.
Shaking his head at Sayax, "No, you misunderstand. I-..." when the elf gets cut off by Ashtear examining the door. Initially taken aback by the audacity of this young one stepping in front of him, Oranir eventually takes interest in her investigation, pursing his lips when he is thrust the lantern, but holding it and leaning closer, "Yes, yes. I've seen spells leave but the faintest of runes behind, do check every stretch of it." he holds the lantern at varying angles, trying to detect and differently-shining areas. Straightening up to look over his shoulder at Merrick, the elf asks withone inquisitive eyebrow, "Are you... affected by the ooze?"

Merrick freezes at Oranir's question, then quickly blurted out the first thought to come to mind, "Erm, no... This is, uhhh, a meditiation technique." He blushed at the stupid excuse he had come up with. He tried to mask it by holding his hand up to his face, closing his eyes, stretching only two fingers outward from his palm, and emitting a deep "Ohmmm..."
He peeked open an eye to see if it was working. It was at that moment he caught sight of the tentacle reaching for Ashtear. He stretched out his meditation fingers shakily towards the ghostly appendage as his Ohmmm shifted to a loud "UMMMMM!"
