OOC- is the birdcage light enough for the owl to carry?
Could the owl hypothetically attempt to open the cage?
No, the owl wouldn't be able to carry the birdcage. It can try to open it but only with a pull or push motion, it'll be clear that the birdcage door won't even budge a little.
"Well, it appears that there's a tiny fairy dragon stuck in a cage up there. He says he's a servant of the summer court, and we're attempting to escape from Bavlorna Blightstraw when they crashed this balloon. I think we should try to help, but I don't think there's anything the owl can do in there. Perhaps we could try a similar tactic as we used at the well. I could get the owl to bring the fishing line down to the other side of this tower, and we can hold the rope firm there. Perhaps we should tie another length to it so it's long enough. I'm afraid that this basket might fall if we try climb up to it otherwise."
Peppermint huffs. "You guys work out how to get the dragon down, I'm going to check for trouble." She seems itchy, like she wants to hit something. She steps off, clanking n her armor as she walks around the tower.
Peppermint is walking around the tower, looking for danger, clues, whatever. She's frustrated that her skill set does not translate to helping tiny dragons out of delicate baskets high up ni the air. She does want to hit something.

Outside the tower, about 10 feet from the door, two giant constrictor snakes lie together, asleep.
'I can use the same spell I used to help the dwarf who fell off one of the dragonflies to tie off the rope, if your owl can get it up there somehow?' suggests Seer
'I don't like the idea of any of us getting anywhere near those brambles...'

"I think all we need to do is open his cage. He appears to have wings." to the basket, "Sir Talavar, are your wings good for flying?"
Yoli directs his owl to search the Bullywug's person for the key.
"Ummm sorry mister owl, I would like to ask you to handle Mister Wigglewog's body with care..." Insight: 3
Yoli whispers, "I don't mean to be disrespectful to the dead. It appears that you are locked in your cage, and I assume that your friend must have the key on him. Is this assumption correct?"

The faerie dragon whispers "Oh no Mister Wigglewog doesn't hold the key, I've heard there's a goblin in possesion of the key...actually many keys, she lives atop Telemy Hill, that's where Wigglewog was heading before we crashed. It is very important that I travel back to my master so I'd like to make a deal with you, I'll exchange this fine blade for the key." The blade sheated on its holster looks more like a dagger to you but it does look special.
A goblin named Jingle Jangle has the key to Sir Talavar’s birdcage. She lives atop Telemy Hill, not too far from Slanty Tower.
Yoli directs his owl to pass the fishing line through one of the basket's anchor point, and then bring it back down. He then ties a rope to the end, and pulls it through. Then he ties a loop in it, passes the end through, and tightens the rope. "Seer, I could use a little pep-talk here." He waits for bardic inspiration and then climbs up the rope.
‘Okay Yoli. Last pick-me-up for a while though. Take a deep breath and imagine you’re strangling someone you really hate - should help you keep a good grip on the rope…’
"I consider myself as more of a lover than a hater, but thanks all the same." Yoli then climbs up the rope as carefully as he can, trying to make sure he doesn't bring the basket crashing down.

Peppermint considers the snakes, her hand glowing purple, briefly, but she shakes her head and returns to the party. Quietly.

‘Can you see how to open the cage? I’ll have to give the servant some instructions…’
((the cage has an obvious keyhole, but no key can be found around. Let me know if there's something you'd like to attempt on that regard))
Yoli directs his owl to search the Bullywug's person for the key.

“Maybe the snakes know where the key is,” Peppermint suggests helpfully.
