Caught off guard by the requests, the old farmer appears at loss on how to answer. In the meantime, Cat can see not but ash and few wood scraps, courtesy of the farmer having at least partially cleaned up the spot during one of her moments of inattentiveness on watch. Which in hindsight following Piers commentary, both of you come to realize the lack of remains might make it tricky for any visiting magister and watchman to further follow-up on things. But, not so wholly impossible for them to investigate further, if any wish to, or beyond the Emerald Enclave to later get involved and help clear things up.
"Eh?! Ah! Certainly. And the names Felwin, by the way. Felwin Leafborn. Apologies for not having introduced myself yesterday and being a bit short with you. That whole scarecrow mess had me right out of sorts."He admits, flashing a weak grin, then looks over to Storm. "Fraid I don't have much in the way of food prepared at the moment, mam. Spent all morning checking on things and tending to my cows. Some of the poor things were slashed up good, and-"He stops there shaking his head and sighing. "Well... that's for me to handle."
Despite such assurances, some instinct of Cat yet compels her to have a closer look around to try and pick up a trail. But while she's able to discern from among the remnants of traffic tracks suggesting where the scarecrows might've come from, which namely seemed to have been possibly from other fields(excluding the one Idoza & Gruk fought), a more extensive tracking would be warranted to narrow down origins.
(To Storm: Technically, tracking would be more a survival thing, but the roll was high enough to pick up at least something.)
It's around about this point that Gruk steps into view, carrying the packed up tent under one arm and reluctantly lending a shoulder to Idoza, who herself looked a fair bit different. Though she still appeared youthful, her hair was closer to an ashen white, her skin lost some vibrancy, and her eyes were no longer radiant pools of luminescent gold, but rather more decisively human eyes with green irises.
"Catch." The old man nearly falls under the weight of the tent bundle being suddenly thrown his way by Gruk, but just manages to catch himself. With a smirk, Gruk just gives him a nod of approval as he shrugged off Idoza, then promptly hopped into the driver bench. "Was that really -- *sigh*... nevermind...." She turns to the farmer. "Thank you gain, good ser. Rest assured, I will see to it that the rest of your belongings are returned to before nightfall." Idoza smiles, earning a grumbled "yeah, well"from the by then blushing old man before he heads back to the main house. Although he stops again to look back and squint at Piers, he soon after shakes his head in dismissal of some idle thought, and carries on his way.
With that, unless there's any other business to attend to at the farm, the party is able to load up and return to the city gates. Surprisingly (or not to some), between a brief explanation and Idoza's remaining connections to the City Watch, the party is able to pass through the gates without too much hassle, though are warned by the guards to not dally too much on hitting up the temple or making arrangements with the Kelemvorites with the City of the Dead.
That said, where does the party wish to go first? You're able to cover up the body well enough to avoid some attention, and so long as it and the cart aren't left unattended, you should be able to stop at places and leave someone standing by to explain things should of note should inquire. But already it is starting to smell fairly rank, and an overzealous patrolman, magister, passing noble, or even clerics with the right pull might cause a fuss and escalate things.

Piers quietly glances to Idoza as they walk. “Everything alright?”
As they pass by a florist, the druid will pop in and quickly buy a bunch of seeds for fragrant smelling flowers. However much that costs, he returns to the wagon, using druidcraft to make the flowers bloom and emit a sweet scent. He gives a sad smile as the smell drifts.
”To Phalkonmere, then? Perhaps they will be able to keep Drux’s body in a gentle repose, if not revive him. Or should we visit the temple for that?”
(lol) She then figures its more of a pressing matter to get Drux back to the Druids
"Yes lets hurry Piers. Thanks for the hospitality Mister Leafborn. Maybe we'll stop by when we're not so pressed for time." She realizes that they never checked the cows "But first, Piers, you're the druid could you check on his cows real quick?"
Did she see what damage was done to the live stock?
Idoza appeared hesitant at first, but eventually managed a soft smile and nodded to Piers. "Yeah, hun... I'll be alright. It's just... I had to put in more of myself to make things work." She looks to her hands. "For a moment, it... felt even as if I could've pulled him back fully last night, but... I-I don't know what would've happen happened, and... I don't think he would've wanted that." She sighs and at that point climbed into the back of the wagon, which its own inner bench that the rest of the party could've sat on, assuming they hadn't mind riding along with the body. "Either way, I don't think I can ever do that again, magic charms or not." She warns him before flashing a grin.
For a silver piece back in the city later on, Piers can easily enough purchase a pouch of seeds for some of the more fragrant flowers for a couple silvers.
Prior to departure, the party had plenty of time to check up on the animals in the barn at their discretion. Having largely been focused on picking apart tracks before, Cat had only gotten a glimpse at the damage done. But upon any closer inspection however, the curious can find out that it was fortunately only the one cow among the few others in the herd that had been injured in the attack, and even then most of the wounds weren't sever enough to threaten its life.
There were going to be some scars left from the event for sure, and likely the beast would be dealing with a limp for the next week or so recovery. But the farmer was clearly no stranger to treating injuries, and they would ultimately be fine thanks to the party's quick response time. Yet with any magical healing, it's recovery time would certainly shorten significantly. But only so much should be done at once, as Piers or any healer well knows. For beyond extraordinarily more robust people and creatures, healing magic could only do so much without being detrimental or requiring far more than what Piers is at least capable at the moment.

“It’s alright. You’ve done plenty, and we’re all thankful for it. Take it easy.”
The druid crouches down next to the injured cow. Speaking softly in the speech of beasts, he whispers: “Shhh… it’ll be alright. Here. Tasty food that will make the pain fade.”
He hands the cow the berry and gently runs a hand across the top of its head. “Good… you’ll be alright. Rest.”
Although though there is some noise of complaint and shifting about from the cow, as Piers was a complete stranger, the beast quickly settled down hearing his voice. Some skepticism remain when offered food, and Piers would get the impression of a 'will it really?' in its glance to him before taking some tentative sniffs at the berry. With a little more coaxing however, the berry quickly disappears from hand, and soon after elicited a sigh of relief as the magic packed fruit did its work.
As a reward, Piers is not only nuzzled in thanks by the cow, but some clue into possible suspects responsible for the scarecrows is given in an absent-minded mentioning of "less than kind strangers" having visited in the earlier that week. Any further inquiries nets him, and by extension the group, some descriptions you could return to the Emerald Enclave with on the individuals. But as of the moment, the group had enough on their plate, what with the matter of their recently dead compatriot to still resolve and the expected contact with Blackstaff supposedly coming in some time that very day.
Regardless, but at the party's discretion, you all can notify Felwin of your findings before you depart, confusing him initially, as he had no recollection of any other visitors. But he would thank you all the same and promise to keep a closer eye out for folk matching the descriptions you give him. With all of that out of the way, it was time head back to the city. The early morning traffic had thankfully been light, and barring no other slight detours beside Piers' visit with a florist, the party eventually arrives before Phaulkonmere's villa in the Southward within an hour, give or take.

Cathern smiles at Piers "Aww, I think the cow has really taken a liking to you. You seem to earn a ladies affection no matter where you go." She giggles as she eats the proffered good berry, Piers gave her earlier.
ooc: It would seem the problem here, is not over but we need to get Drux resurrected at least before our 10 days are up on that.
Piers gives Cathern a nod and a small smile, the cow letting out a small moo. "She can understand me, and I her. We've spoken, and we'll be able to give descriptions of the perpetrators to the Enclave and the City Guard. Now, let's move."
The druid swings open the gates of the villa and runs in, ahead of the wagon. He calls out into the villa grounds. "Melannor? We're back - we need your help urgently!"
She laughs "Honestly, I thought I saw romance budding. Shouldn't we tell the farmer?"
As her sides hurt from giggling, she follows helping when she can. She recovers before the city gates as her energy runs low realizing that in a strange way, that her reaction of humor. Is a result of stress from the loss of Drux.
Before they enter the manor grounds
"Sorry Piers if that got a little weird. I'm just worried that we cant do what we promised"
(I'm sure Piers is waiting for polymorph to get me back 🤣. But what CR is a bull? I play a druid too.)
"Calm down, kid. We're aware." A familiar, older man's voice called out to Piers from just off to the side of him. Turning, he'd see Melannor, the middle-aged Half-Elf and groundskeeper, seated upon a stone bench and looking to have been in the process of a smoke break before Piers suddenly burst into the grounds.
If Piers looks as if he's about to ask question or say more, the man holds up a hand to stop him. "Just get your friend and bring him on inside. There's gonna be some things yet to discuss. But conversation wait till we're all inside." He explained calmly, though his expression is a fair bit more somber. With that, the man takes one last drag of his pipe, and unless stopped, he makes his way on inside.
As the conversation wasn't exactly a quiet one, Gruk looks to those left in the cart and then over to the manor, before then grumbling and hopping out. "******* 'A' man... If the old ****s in there knew already, they at least could've had somebody else here ready to carry the bloody stiff." He complained as he made his way around. Although still visibly a little exhausted, Idoza couldn't help making a cheeky remark that leaves the Half-Orc scoffing, but also blushing as he sought to pick up the body, if either Piers AND Cat hadn't rushed in by then to do it themselves as a joint effort.
"If its all the same with the rest of you loves, I... think I'll stay out here." Idoza mentions as the rest of the party make way to enter the manor. The doors have been left open for the group, making it easy enough to reach the open foryer. There you would see Melannor again in the middle talking quietly to empty space before noting the groups approach.
Apparently the Cat got her tongue, as she remains quiet helping with Drux. Her sensitive nose wrinkles in expressionistic thought. "Is this how a dead dragon smells? Ewe! I'm going to throw a bucket of soap and water on him when we get back home!"
He moves to one side of Drux's body and helps to carry it up. He'd been around a farm - after a while one goes a bit nose-blind to strong smells. He still feels the decay of his fallen companion but does not comment on it.
As they reach the foyer, Piers sees Melannor speaking to empty space. He looks around to see who he might be speaking with.
Cat presents the claws and the weapons to Melannor "We did what was needed to be done" She sobs "and paid a high price. Idoza our friend spoke with Drux and found he wants to keep living."
Piers doesn't see anyone visibly around, but would eventually recall having been reached out telepathically by Jeryth Phaulkon, Lady of the House, the last time he'd been on the grounds. This yet probably raised more questions, but they are made to take a back seat as Melannor turned to acknowledge Cat, and by extension the rest of the group. Upon accepting the offering, Melannor studies them briefly, nods once, they holds them out to some of the nearby greenery that appeared to decorate most of the foyer. The items quickly disappear from sight as nearby vines became animated and pulled the offering into thicker patches of itself.
"I'm sorry you had to go through such pain. All of you."Gruk snorts. "... Most of you. But if what you say is true, all may not be lost. Normally... Eh, sort of. Most rituals, uh... Mn, None of that's here or there."He waves a hand dismissively. "Apologies for the confusion. I was alerted recently of another complication and it has me out of sorts."He smiles weakly. "Uh, just lay him there."As he gestures to the middle of the foyer, some of the nearby greenery again became animated and slithered over to spot, forming a large, makeshift bedding.
With Gruk's help, Piers is able to lay the Dragonborn down. Just as soon as that's done though, the Half-Orc unceremoniously steps back outside. "I must apology on my Lady's behalf. Another emergency cropped up most unexpectedly a moment ago, and is to occupy her attention for some time. But you need not fear. I am more than capable of performing the necessary ritual to bring you friend back... Unfortunately, this is a costly thing normally reserved to only full members of the Enclave."
Melannor quickly raises up a halting hand in anticipation of protest. "However, you all have done a great service for us. So in recognition of this, her Ladyship has granted me the authority to revive him this one time using reserved components. This however being in part replacing an intended reward for your services." He gives Piers an apologetic half-grin before looking to Cat. "The other part of your reward however is something we can address after the ritual, which in itself will take about an hour. As a note, the strain of his return will leave him significantly exhausted for a time. But a few days rest will see him right as rain!"
The young druid nods as he sets Drux on the foliage bedding. "We would be happy to sort out whatever matter you have for us. And thank you, so much, for your help. Would you require assistance with the ritual or anything else during that time?"
With a look of gratitude, She simply says "Okay, and thanks"in response. Then with pleading eyes, wanting to soak in any knowledge of any magic type "I hope you don't mind if I watch? If there's a way to help I will." she does as instructed, within reason. She's watched Idoza casting spells countless times and recently, Piers. But she's never had the aptitude for divine spells or nature. Having been distracted by most events, when the magic flowed anyway.
Melannor raised a brow at first, before smiling softly and shaking his head. "I thank you both for the offer. But as this is rather delicate work, it would be best if you leave things to me. But, you are both more than welcome to stay and bear witness to my Lady Eldath's bestowal of divine grace. I ask only that you are quiet during the ritual. And after which, you can all tell me the full story of events that transpired during your mission."
With that assertion made, Melannor turned away, casually casting aside his outer robe and revealing more prominently an amulet bearing waterfall plunging into a still pool. There's not much in the way of comfortable places to sit in the foyer except perhaps the stair. So the two will have to make due.
As for the ritual itself, it is a long and visibly strenuous task for Melannor despite much of it consisting of chanting, circling Drux' body, and the careful affixing of several totems in key places. The nearby foliage again appears to help throughout the proceedings in gathering and passing along a few necessary accoutrements for the ritual; which Piers would gradually come to understand appear to smoothly blend more druidic practices with a few things expected of more cleric oriented rituals.
Over time the stench of death began to fade as a familiar, gentle wind picked up, rustling hairs, and filling the air with various pleasant scents of a spring glade. Finally the ritiual concludes with a few gentle words whispered to a by then glowing diamond, turning it into dust in Melannor's hands. Despite the wind the diamond dust failed to fly out of hand until the Half-Elf knelt down and blew the dust into Drux' face, melting away upon impact with skin and scale.
Within moments, Druxacmil eyes snap open with a sharp gasp as life and soul once more filled his body! And everything for him ACHED to say the least! Some scars would linger from his ordeal. The memories of the other side would quickly fade over the next few seconds of catching his breath.
Cat watches in quiet amazement at the proceeding casting And in awe of the dragon-kinds revival. She smiles and mischievously says "Happy rebirthday Drux."
All of you." Gruk snorts. "... Most of you. But if what you say is true, all may not be lost. Normally... Eh, sort of. Most rituals, uh... Mn, None of that's here or there." He waves a hand dismissively. "Apologies for the confusion. I was alerted recently of another complication and it has me out of sorts." He smiles weakly. "Uh, just lay him there." As he gestures to the middle of the foyer, some of the nearby greenery again became animated and slithered over to spot, forming a large, makeshift bedding.

With a look of gratitude, She simply says "Okay, and thanks" in response.

But nevertheless, the Dragonborn was alive again.

Cat watches in quiet amazement at the proceeding casting And in awe of the dragon-kinds revival. She smiles and mischievously says "Happy rebirthday Drux."
