You make your way back to where the ledge looks over the fungus garden and the steps down into it. The others wait out of site along the wall while Dawn carefully makes his way down the steps, watching carefully as he goes. About halfway down, he notices that the next step is trapped, and skips over that one to continue. Reaching the bottom, he looks around the garden and notes there are two paths through, one going to the left, the other to the right.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
I will make a second perception check, listening to so if I hear any voices or indications of either path is occupied 12.
If I don't hear anything I signal the rest of the party to come down pointing out the trapped stair (you didn't say how it was trapped. Grease or oil? Trip wire ect. Since I don't know how it it trapped, I don't know what to do to disarm or disable it.). And then continue scouting down the right path stealth 11 perception 19
If I do hear something I will attempt to disable/disarm the trap quietly Slight of hand? 23 stealth 13 and with my bow ready wave the rest down.
(Indeed it is. Dawn, give me a Nature check as well)
The trap appears to be a pressure-rigged step which, when stepped on, will cause that step and the rest below it to collapse into a ramp, dumping whoever is on those steps to the bottom.
Not seeing any way to disable the trap, Dawn simply waves the others down the stairs to join him and points out the trapped step as they come to make sure they skip over it. Looking over the fungus garden, he doesn't see any signs of either path being currently occupied, but scanning the ground he can tell that only the left path sees heavy use.
Dawn starts scouting down the right hand path. Before he gets more than 20 feet, 4 Violet Fungi, unrecognizable from the other mundane mushrooms to his eye, move out from amongst the garden to surround him and attack, lashing out with rotting tendrils.
(I'll have to get a map put together later, but they're each 10 feet away from Dawn, 2 between him and the stairs, 2 on the other side of him from the stairs. The ones between Dawn and the stairs are about 10 feet away from the rest of the party.)
Pop's readies a cloud of blue smoke for when Rockcrusher gets in melee range of a hostile. Dolomite Jones flies out to harass any of Maythus's targets and flies back to Pops.
Rock will follow attempting to be stealthy as he goes

Rockcrusher lvl 2 Goliath Barbarian Horde of the Dragon Queen
Taggart lvl 6 Air Genasi Blood Hunter Tomb of Annihilation
Shadow lvl 3 variant feral tiefling rogue Shackled City
(Pops and Maythus following?)
Sure, Pops will follow and Stealth. Dolomite Jones will help him stay sneaky by holding up the hem of his robe.

Dawn will go the less used right path first to rule it out.
