Tochi rips himself free from the webbing just in time. The two beasts assaulting him converge in his previous location, stabbing their pincer-like jaws into the webs. Sildar continues to struggle, held in place, but masterfully defends himself from his own attackers, forcing one back with the edge of his sword and twisting to avoid the other.
Nemean ignores the dark elf's plea, slicing twice into the open air, hitting nothing. Timing a strike of his own, Roland lunges forward, hitting nothing, but the intake of breath is all he needs to direct his second sword perfectly.
"Hargh!" the dark elf reappears, a look of astonishment on his face and sword in his chest. His hands grip the blade for a moment, as if to push it away. Staring in disbelief, he falls backward into unconsciousness. His staff clatters to the ground beside him.
Round 3 Order: Enemies Players <===== Sildar
Placement: Nemean and Roland are standing over the dark elf. Sildar is restrained by webbing 15 feet away, engaged in melee combat with two giant spiders. Tochi is 15 feet away, engaged in melee combat with two giant spiders.
Tracking: Nemean, Roland, and Sildar are all lightly wounded. The dark elf is unconscious and dying Tochi is grievously wounded.
OOC: Unless Tochi tells me otherwise, I will use his attacks for this round.

Sildar bursts free from his webbed prison with a growl, facing down the hungry maws in front of him. Too slow to reach one spider as it leaps backward, he is soon stuck by another webbed shot, one leg attached firmly to the stone floor. Forcing the teeth of the second spider away, he curses, "I don't know how long I can hold them off!"
Tochi dodges a shot of web, planting his staff into the bottom of the nearest spider's jaw and following it with a series of punches, including a claw to the creature's underbelly that tears a chunk of acidic flesh away. The spider's frenzied movements throw Roland off balance, and his swords fail to punch through the spider's natural armor. Nemean cuts across the other spider's abdomen, but the creature lunges suddenly, chewing into the tabaxi's arm and dealing 4 piercing damage and 5.5 poison damage.

Sliding beneath the spider while its back is turned, Roland thrusts upward into its vital organs beneath its body, rolling out of the way as the creature falls to the ground, twitching in its death throes. Overwhelmed by the sheer number of weapons coming its way, the remaining spider falls beneath Nemean's blade and Tochi's claw before Sildar puts it out of its misery, slashing through its head.
The fierce battle ended, the sound of an echoing boom is all that can be heard over the panting as you catch your breath.
Room Description:
Six cracked marble pillars line the walls of the hall within, at the north end of which stands a nine-foot-tall statue of a dwarf seated on a throne, a mighty stone warhammer across his lap. Large emeralds seem to gleam in the statues eyes, even in darkness. The ceiling is high, nearly twenty feet, and the walls are built with fitted stone, a stark contrast to the natural stone you have seen throughout the cave. At the south end of the chamber, a tunnel exits the room.
The dust and debris covering the floor has been swept to one side, and a campsite of sorts now spreads in front of the statue. Half a dozen bedrolls and packs are neatly arranged around a rough-built fire pit. A wooden table stands on the west side of the room between two pillars.
OOC: Each character has received 312 XP for defeating the dark elf and his giant spiders.
The dark elf is in terrible shape, but he had been able to keep enough pressure on his wound for the blood to congeal and slow. His breathing is weak and ragged. He is alive and stable, but unconscious.
The dark elf's staff laying beside him is clearly magical in nature. The top of the black, adamantine staff is shaped like a spider. Searching through his pockets, Nemean finds a potion of healing inside of his shirt.
