From down here it's very hard to say is there are any track atop the glacier leading into the structure. You'd likely have to climb the crumbling ice wall to the top to get a good look at the ground around the strange building.
Kathra sizes up the cliff again in the morning's light. "Perhaps we should begin at the bottom and work our way up? Nothing appears to have come out of the cavern last night - unless it was the wolves, which I believe we dealt with."
It's hard to parse from Gavin's description. You'd likely have to either see it yourself or investigate the top of the structure more closely to determine what, if any magic is involved.

"The mongoose blew out its candle and was asleep in bed before the room went dark." —Llanowar fable
Let’s explore the tunnel. “Might I suggest that Peren searches for traps on our way through. I can cast a light spell if needed, we can use it with the bullseye lantern to choose when we need light. My recommendation for order is Peren, myself, Thont, Maribel and Kathra protecting our rear ((I can switch to the rear if the barbarian isn’t happy being last :))
((Climbing a cracking glacier that has warm water running through it does not seem like a great idea to me))
Packing up camp, the group heads over closer to the crumbling ice-wall of the mighty glacier. It looks mostly similar to how it looked last evening, though you can see some new large cracks and chunks of melting ice little the ground where you are fairly sure there weren't any before. The broken ice towers forty or so feet about you where the worked tunnel sits, and then another forty or so feet to the top. Deciding to start at the bottom of this puzzling ice and stone amalgam, you choose to head into the cavern crack that the steaming stream flows lazily from.
The ice walls of the cavern are smooth and slick from the melting caused by the rising steam of the flowing water. Light from outside seems to pass through this almost beautiful glass-like expanse, giving you a decent view ahead as you travel deeper and deeper, following the path of the stream. After about fifty yards or so, the stream and the tunnel you are in curve hard to the right, leading to a darker area.
As you follow the tunnel onward it begins to widen until you find yourselves in a large underground cavern. It is warm and humid here, and your vision is slightly obscured by the build-up of steam in the area. You can make out a large bubbling pond of sorts which appears to be the source of the stream. The bedrock around the pond is rather warm to the touch.
((If you'd like to look around, feel free to make whatever check you think might be useful.))

You find no traps, which is good because you think it would be really easy to trap this area to cause a cave in or other collapse with all the cracking ice. During your search however, you do come across a perfectly carved circular tube along the northern wall. It looks big enough around that you and your friends could walk in it, though Thont might be a little cramped with his size being what it is. The circular tube heads off north deeper into the glacier.

"One moment," Kathra says, "I'd like a closer look at the source of this stream first." It seems curious to her that such a thing exists. She has been in her share of caverns, but a hot spring is a rare sight indeed. She's not entirely sure this hot spring is a natural occurrence, and wants a better look.
It doesn't take much poking around to find the source of the heat. Reflected in the glow of Gavin's Light spell and the lantern you have, you see a strange web of metal that covers much of the rock at the bottom of the pond. Following the metal to its source, you find what appears to be some sort of slag run-off in the northeast corner of the cavern. You're not entirely sure where the slag metal came from though, and while it is rather warm to the touch, it is also quite solid, like it has been sitting there cooling for months. You tap it a bit with your axe tentatively and it does not react at all like a softer molten metal would.

Gavin would like to take 10 min to cast ritual version of detect magic (so it doesn’t use a spell slot) if no one objects to the time spent here. “Let’s be on our guard, perfect place to be ambushed with this steam acting like cover”
The strange metal slag that seems to be giving off most of the heat in this cavern is also slightly magical, though that magic seems to be fading ever so slowly. It is not dissimilar to the same aura of Transmutation and Evocation magic that radiates from the two metal disks your group has.

"What in the hells...?" Kathra curiously taps at the metal a little more before calling over to Mirabel. "Ho there, sorcerer! Some more strangeness for you to look at. Might be the metal those discs are made of."
((Is the metal small enough that it could be shifted? If so, Kathra would try to lever it out of the pool with, I presume, a strength check: 7))
For Thont:
From down here it's very hard to say is there are any track atop the glacier leading into the structure. You'd likely have to climb the crumbling ice wall to the top to get a good look at the ground around the strange building.
"So - what's our plan? Keep on our trail or inspect the structure? I'm up for climbing if you all are..."
To review, your most obvious options are:
Kathra sizes up the cliff again in the morning's light. "Perhaps we should begin at the bottom and work our way up? Nothing appears to have come out of the cavern last night - unless it was the wolves, which I believe we dealt with."
Mirabel listens carefully to Gavin's description of what he saw and gives some thought to what may have caused such an effect.
((I'm guessing Arcana, but here's a Nature as well just to cover the bases))
Arcana: 6
Nature: 13
Mirabel gives a shrug.

It's hard to parse from Gavin's description. You'd likely have to either see it yourself or investigate the top of the structure more closely to determine what, if any magic is involved.
Sounds good with the wall to the tunnel first for me!
Starting at the bottom and working our way up seems logical to Peren
"Well, if climb we must, then climb we must. I want to get a closer look at that structure anyway."
Mirabel is prepared for whatever.

"Man's got a point."
Mirabel's opinion on what to do next is extremely malleable.
((Seems we have a consensus.))
